Getting to Salt Spring Island From Vancouver: Take a BC Ferry from Tsawwassen to Long Harbour (reserve early!) You can also catch a ferry to Swartz Bay, then ferry from Swartz Bay to SSI with more options available. Tell the ticketer when arriving at Tsawassen Terminal & they will help guide you From Victoria: Take a BC ferry from Swartz Bay to Fulford Harbour. Good options but non-reservable. Floatplanes (Harbor Air, Salt Spring Air, Seair) fly from downtown Vancouver to Ganges! Quick, scenic, and a little magical. Shuttle Service We’ll be providing a shuttle to and from our venue, Beaver Point Hall, on the wedding day so everyone can relax and enjoy. Pickup times/locations will be shared closer to the date. Where to Stay Salt Spring offers charming B&Bs, cozy cabins, boutique hotels, and camping around the corner from Beaver Point Hall. June is a popular time, so book early! There are limited options from Vancouver (Tsawwassen Terminal) directly to Salt Spring Island. Book Early if you are hoping to get one of these ferries.

BC Ferries Victoria to Salt Spring Island

There are more options from Victoria to SSI, but they are non-reservable. You can book a ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay, then take a ferry from Swartz Bay to Salt Spring Island, but plan ahead that you may have to wait a sailing or two, though usually the Gulf Islands do not have multiple sailing waits.

If you're happy to spend a bit more on travel, taking a sea plane is a delightful way to get to Salt Spring and cuts the commute time way down, plus you won't have to deal with ferry lineups. Make sure to book ahead!
