The Gettin' Married Express

Two dedicated taxis will be picking guests up at the taxi stand on Water Street (across from The Harborside) between 2:30-3ish. Look for signs that say "Ashley + Wes". They'll be bringing people back to town at 10 and 11PM. You'll be able to call taxis from the bonfire as needed.

General Block Island Hotel Reservations

If you prefer not to stay at The National, most hotels on the Island can be booked through blockislandreservations.com. Some additional hotels that aren't listed on BlockIslandReservations.com are The Spring House (which is beautiful, but also up a very steep hill that you might not won't want to walk), The Block Island Beach House, and Ballards (which is where we'll be meeting up on Friday - but might be a little rambunctious for some folks). Please know that some of the hotels on the Island have shared baths & no AC.

Flight

Air Travel For Out Of Town Guests

If you're coming from far away, the easiest route may be flying into Bradley Internality Airport (CT). The Block Island Express (out of New London, CT) is about an hour from the airport via Lyft, and there are 5-6 ferry options a day. JetBlue offers direct flights to from LA to BDL during the summer.

Block Island Express: Connects New London, CT and Old Harbor, Block Island in just over one hour on a high-speed catamaran. The terminal in New London is located next to the train station and limited parking is available with a municipal garage across the street. This ferry runs May through September only. Block Island Ferry: provides year-round service from Point Judith, RI. This is the only Ferry that can take vehicles to the island and reservations for vehicles are required. Block Island Hi-Speed Ferry: A state-of-the-art High Speed Catamaran, the high-speed ferry sails mid-May through mid-Oct. The ferry departs from the State Pier in Point Judith, R.I. and docks in Old Harbor in under 30 minutes. Newport to Block Island Ferry: The high speed "Islander" ferry is currently running through August. The ferry runs from Downtown Newport (Perrotti Park) and Old Harbor, Block Island, taking one hour. Viking Fast Ferry

Viking Fast Ferry: Connects Montauk, NY to New Harbor, Block Island in about one hour via high speed ferry. Ferry runs Memorial Day through Labor Day only. For schedule information and directions visit www.vikingfleet.com. The Montauk ferry lets you off in a different part of the Island (by Champlin's) and requires a walk up a very steep hill, where taxis will be waiting to take you into town. **YOU CAN NOT TAKE A CAR ON THIS FERRY, BUT THERE IS A PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE TERMINAL**

Train

LIRR to Montauk

Train times and schedule will become available closer to our wedding date. The train station is a few minutes from the Viking Fleet (Montauk) Ferry, and can be taken from Manhattan.

Rental Car

Cars, Driving, and Taxis

You won't need your car on the Island, but if you're planning on bringing one, you'll have to make reservations on the CT or RI ferries sometime in April. We're not sure if Lyft or Uber operates on the Island, but there are lots of taxi services if you need one. Most arrangements can be made in advance, but they also usually hang out by the ferry terminals.
