Wedding Party

We want to give you a quick glimpse of these incredible people who have so strongly influenced our lives.

Lydia Van Hall

Maid of Honor

My sister, my best friend, my biggest rival, and my most avid fan. Since the day of my birth, no one has been able to remember who is who. I answer to both Lydia and Rebecca and she does the same. Lydia has been there since day one to get me into trouble but also to get me out of trouble. Lydia is the most genuine person I know. Love effortlessly flows from her in a stunning picture of Christ. When our friends or family would confuse us growing up, I was always a little offended. However, watching my beautiful sister mature over the years has changed my mind. If you see a little bit of her in me, I see that as a massive compliment. Lydia has a firmness in character that is lacking in most young adults and I am honored to have her stand by my side as I embark on this life long adventure.

Stephen Pitcher

Best Man

Big bro' of the groom! Steve and I go way back. To my birth, actually. When you know somebody for literally your whole life, you see them in many different lights, and at many different stages of growth. Steve is 5 years older than me, and was always much taller than me. So growing up, not only was he my brother, but also a goal. I've always wanted to be as level-headed as him, as well-liked as him, and as hard-working as him. It seems like he's always been 5 steps ahead of me in all these areas, even today. But looking at the big picture, I realize that there is an even better quality about him that I admire, and now try to emulate: faithful. Not flashy, not fake, not wavering. I see Steve as an honest man who loves God, and loves his wife. Thanks for being there for me, Steve!

Melissa Koch

Bridesmaid

Wow. Where to begin? In choosing bridesmaids, Melissa was an obvious one. She has been there to comfort me, rejoice with me, mourn with me, and be awkward with me since I stepped foot on our college campus. Her sweet friendship has helped form me into the person I am and she is the friend I wish to become. Melissa is always sweet. Her love for God radiates from her beautiful face making her somehow more beautiful. Even on her hard days, Melissa's first thought is to think of other people before herself. From getting lost in every part of Pensacola together to somehow still finding the coffee shops, we have so many awesome memories together and I can't wait to make this one with her by my side!

Elisha Klatt

Groomsman

The Life-Time-Type of Friend Where to start with Elisha? He was actually one of the first people I met in college. Even though he didn't know me, he invited me to join him and his friends at the beach. As a friendless freshman on my own for the first time, that meant the world to me. One year later, we would become roommates that would pray together and play Liar's dice at unspeakable hours of the night. And also listen to "Scoreboard" 28 times a day. Elisha is sacrificing and loyal to a fault when it comes to his friends. He holds his time and his possessions so loosely, and generously gives them to others. It seems as if his goal in conversations is to lift up others while taking no thought for himself. Elisha, our paths may split, but I'll hold onto our friendship with an iron grip.

Mary Larson

Bridesmaid

This woman is a beautiful angel. This beautiful girl has a double major, a minor, and a heart of gold. Even though we met our freshman year and were good friends, Mary and I really got to know each other junior year. We both directed in Dramatic Productions, were costume designers for that production, and in Peter Pan. The next semester, we were TA partners at Pensacola Christian Academy and our senior speech recitals were a week apart. Through all of these trials, I got to see her heart. Mary is incredibly giving and thoughtful. After a hard day, I would walk up to my door only to find an encouraging note from her. Her cheerful smile never wavered. I'm honored to have someone so selfless and kind stand up for my character on my wedding day.

Jacob Van Hall

Flower Girl

Best future-brother-in-law ever When I was a freshmen in college, Jacob and I found ourselves in a play together (hello, other M'liss cast members!). It wasn't necessarily at that point that we became good friends, but in the years to come, we developed a friendship that lasts to this day. Jacob and I are both lovers of board games and good IHOP food, and we have spent many a-nights irresponsibly shoving off work to play Liar's dice or to save the world from Pandemic. Those things are not why we've stayed friends though. Jacob has a love for the Lord that I've always tried to catch since I've known him. He's a man of principle. His words hold a ton of weight in my mind, because he will never speak a word that he doesn't mean. In closing, I will say this: You're stuck with me now!!!!!

Sarah Richardson

Bridesmaid

Everyone needs a "Sarah Richardson" friend. Sarah and I met freshman year in history class. We parted ways, but God had bigger plans. Fast forward to junior year and she's in my prayer group. Look ahead to senior year and she's dodging obstacles to get into my room and into my heart. Sarah exudes fun. She is loving, spontaneous, competitive, genuine, easily entertained, and hilarious. According to Thorton Wilder, very few people truly know how to "live life, every minute." I believe that Sarah is one of those blessed few. Everything she does, she does with her whole heart -- whether that would be taking a nap, loving her friends, or serving the Lord. I know she will stand by my side with her whole heart and I am honored to have her as my roommate and friend.

Austin Wright

Groomsman

My Proclaim tour group leader for a record two years (longest held office ever) I traveled with Austin on a PCC Proclaim team for two summers and a winter. We traveled to churches and schools in around 20 different states. During that time, we inadvertently found ourselves in many shenanigans and much mischief, through no fault of our own. We don't know how it all happened, really. Austin inspires me to treat people better. Austin likes people before he even meets them. Conversationally, he makes no effort to make himself seem important (even though he totally is). Although we are in different stages of life now, I'll never let go of the jokes or memories we've made. I hope that you're always DOING WELL!
