FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Coastal cocktail. Are we sure we didn't make this up? Not really, but the internet says it's a thing. Here's what it had to say for itself: For Women: Midi dresses, flowy maxi dresses, or elegant jumpsuits in light, airy fabrics. Prints like soft florals or subtle stripes are encouraged. Pair with comfortable yet chic wedges, block heels, or dressy sandals. For Men: A breathable sports coat or blazer with trousers (linen, cotton, or chinos) is ideal. While not always requiring a tie, a structured, polished look is still key, avoiding shorts or overly casual beachwear. Colors & Accessories: Ocean-inspired hues (blue, green, coral), neutrals (sand), or soft pastels.

Question

Are my children invited?

Answer

We're very sorry, but venue capacity limits meant we had to make some difficult decisions. Unless you're our family and have been told otherwise, the little ones will need to stay home for this one. We love your kids and hope to see them on our next visit.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, and the reception will be indoors. A June day near the water in LA could be cool ... or hot. You may want an extra layer for the harbor cruise. It can get windy out there.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

There is a dedicated free parking lot specifically for the Plaza at the Cabrillo Marina.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

If you're planning to explore greater Los Angeles during your stay, we'd strongly encourage renting a car. This is a big, sprawling, wonderful city, and our favorite spots are spread all over it. We hope you take full advantage of it.

Question

Will I be day drinking?

Answer

If you want to! We'll have a mimosa bar and canned adult beverages for you to enjoy. We also noted the unfortunate order of this question and the previous one, but found it too funny to change. Please drink responsibly.

Question

We're going to Disneyland?

Answer

That's where we'll be on Sunday. We're gonna try to do a group photo in front of the castle at some point. If you have never been, or want to return, we encourage you to stay a while longer on Sunday and enjoy the happiest place on Earth (The Disneyland Resort ... not Finland, which is what Google said when I questioned myself on that phrase - Andy). We can say from experience it's an excellent use of your adult money and free will.
