If you are comfortable driving/parking in DC then it’s about a 30 minute drive into downtown DC (give or take traffic). You can let someone else do the driving for you and request an Uber or Lyft ride. OR Metro! The metro route recently expanded to include the Silver Line. You can take the Silver Line in the direction of Largo Town Center into the city. There’s a metro stop within walking distance (or quick shuttle-ride) to the Doubletree. Get on at Tyson’s Corner Metro Station and take the Silver Line into McPherson Square or Metro Center. This will get you closest to the monuments and museums.
In order to allow our guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!
For men, a business suit (with tie) is fine. No tux needed! For ladies, cocktail-length or floor-length dresses are great. It may be cooler in the evening in VA, so plan please plan accordingly.
Living off the mantra of 'collect moments, not things' we appreciate any contribution to our honeymoon or to the People Improvement Organization (PIO) located in Cambodia. We currently have all the items we want at home (and lack of storage space at that!)
We have the room block rate scheduled starting Thursday, October 18 through Sunday, October 21. We hope you can visit the area, but cannot guarantee rates outside the block. Please email Wes (wes.santos@hyatt.com) in advance for accommodations at his hotel downtown or assistance with hotel blocks.
Parking at the Doubletree Hotel will be waived. There will be a shuttle providing transportation from the hotel to wedding venue. Information on shuttle times will be provided at a later date.
There is plenty of parking at the venue, free of charge.
