If Wes is Chloe’s soul mate, Christiana (Shana) is Chloe’s soul sister. Which is, in fact, exactly what their parents call these two. When Chloe started high school, she was the new kid and knew no one... for only 2 days, until Shana insisted Chloe join a sleepover with her and a couple of friends. 8 years later, and this bond is still thriving- Shana makes Chloe laugh so hard she cries, and these two would do anything for each other. For all this and more, Shana can be considered the most dramatic, truly hilarious, extremely dedicated, and genuinely kind best friend and maid of honor that Chloe could ever ask for.

Cooper Hoffman

Best Man

Wes’s best friend since childhood, Cooper and Wes were so close growing up that the amount of inside jokes between them turned into what onlookers called their own language. These two have probably have spent upwards of 10,000 hours playing sports together, rain or shine. Wes also remembers how, when he was nervous about hanging out or talking to Chloe at the very beginning, Cooper was his wing-man and wordsmith. Coop helped Wes get through the time he refers to as "before Wes understood how to talk to girls".

Kelly Vollmer

Kelly took Chloe under her wing as a senior at UF (when Chloe was a freshman) and always introduced Chloe as her friend instead of just her brother's girlfriend- a perfect example of the wonderfully thoughtful human she is. Kelly is the master of getting Chlo to go on adventurous missions- including (but not limited to) mountain-climbing, cliff-diving, discreetly (?) setting off fireworks, and indie night at The Atlantic. But the Chlo/Kell dynamic is incomplete without mentioning their many deep talks (one that took place next to a live volcano).

Spencer Flynt

Spencer is Chloe's true best friend and Wes's brother-in-law-to-be. Spencer and Wes are always down to hang and joke around, and always down to talk about all things sports/economy/recommended readings. Fun fact: these two have had multiple (a surprising amount, really) incidents of arriving to events in accidentally matching outfits. Fun fact #2: Spencer and Wes once randomly bought a boomerang and proceeded to spend an entire day trying to master it. Results were...disappointing.

Anna Vollmer

The youngest Vollmer sister and also the only Vollmer to get any of Chloe’s pop culture references, Anna and Chloe love to visit each other and experience the best coffee, markets, and thrifting that they can find together. These two can, and have, sat talking at restaurants until they close... because really, they never run out of things to wonder about, laugh about, and share with each other. Anna is an incredible artist and Chloe is Anna's biggest fan, having kept every little beautiful thing that Anna created as gifts for Chloe throughout the years.

Colin Dodd

Wes’s self-proclaimed ‘UF Best Friend’ (at least, that’s how he introduced himself to Chloe’s mom), Colin and Wes met playing basketball upon Wes’s arrival to UF- foreshadowing a large theme for their friendship. Wes has played on the most intramural teams with Colin out of any of his friends... which means together these two have spent the most time fueling each other’s competitive nature, mutually hating on refs, and helping each other not lose their cool in games.

Katie Vollmer

A great example of the relationship these two share is Katie/Chloe coffee. This tradition started in college, where they became inseparable for the two years that they overlapped at UF. At these coffee dates, Katie and Chloe talk for HOURS about everything from God, to fitness, to relationships, to scientific research, to the funniest (and sometimes most embarrassing) moments of their lives. These two have been the best of friends for a long time, and now get to be sisters forever!

Troy Jackson

Troy and Wes were in a CRU small group together for Wes’s whole time at UF. Troy also holds the title of Wes’s ‘first friend’ at UF...even before transferring to UF from WKU, when Wes called Chloe while she was at a CRU meeting, she would pass the phone to Troy and let the two talk for a bit (because, as she says, she always ‘shipped’ that friendship). Troy and Wes were also on multiple intramural teams together, competing in every intramural championship side by side.

Carly Spoerl

Carly and Chloe- aka ‘Chlarly’ (their self-declared celeb couple name)- became friends at the beginning of high school after their parents decided to carpool and randomly flung Chlarly together for a weekend, mistakenly assuming that they knew each other well enough for a hang-out-turned-sleepover. Luckily, this turned a couple of carpool friends into the incredibly tight, constantly singing, constantly joking, family-vacation-attending, best ever kind of friends.

Mitchell Pantelides

Mitch is another friend from childhood, and probably Wes’s #1 beach-going, boating, sneaking into Carlouel yatch club for the lemonade, and island camping friend. Wes remembers that in 8th grade, he spent more weekends at Mitchell’s house than his own. Even though admittedly, Mitchell calls Chloe more than Wes to talk about his life and girl problems, Wes and Mitch have stayed friends for over 15 years!

Bella Feiertag

Bella and Chloe can never remember quite why or how they met....they just remember being good friends for all of high school, and despite (initially) having few friends in common, they were just meant to be. They graduated high school with a couple of mission trips, island trips, and multiple high school dances together under their belts, and maintained their friendship with flawless dedication throughout college (despite the long distance from Florida to New York).

Josh Hancock

Josh was actually one of the few friends present the very day that Chloe and Wes first hit it off, so basically he witnessed a historic moment. Also, knowing each other for as long as they have, Wes and Josh have almost as many inside jokes (‘zing!!’ and ‘twelve’..just to name a few) as they have memories together. From YMCA leagues to high school teams, these two have really been through it all, and more importantly they have stayed friends through it all!

Farah Hadjimiry

Don't let the stone-cold stare fool you... Farah is one of Chloe's funniest, sassiest, most compassionate friends. After meeting during Chloe’s freshman year of college, Farah has consistently been Chloe's 5 AM workout partner, 5 PM sunset-sharer, 5 hour study partner, and 24/7 friend-so-close-they-feel-like-family. Although she and Wes constantly joke about who Chloe loves more, Farah has always rooted Wes and Chloe on.

Nathan Vollmer

Nathan is Wes’s cousin, but really, the older brother that Wes never had. Wes and Nathan grew up with all sisters so as the only boys, they grew very close from early on... seeing as they were the only ones who wanted to play video games, sports, and rough house as kids. Wes was even Nathan’s best man at his wedding, and the two have been fortunate to stay close all of their lives.

Isabelle Crevier

Chloe and Isabelle just GET each other. Determined to live together since meeting freshman year at UF (a dream that came true senior year), this is a friendship forged on sneaking into hot tubs, going on road trips, always trying out each other's food/coffee/clothes/plant-care tips, a mutual (and decidedly weird) sense of humor, and frequent life talks in the hallway between their rooms... a destined best-friendship.

Reid Ferguson

Pictured above is Reid in what he refers to as his ‘husky’ years, but by the time he met Wes, he had left those years behind. Reid is Wes’s most consistent workout partner in the ‘quest for better bods’. Since both are engineers, Christians, and athletes, these two were fast friends after meeting in a CRU small group. Reid is also Wes’s only friend who is also currently engaged, and it’s nice to have someone to talk with about #justengagedthings.

Addie Burchell

These two met in college and Chloe instantly loved Addie’s humor and spontaneity- like how Addie was once ready to go on an unplanned road trip at 3 AM to see the sunrise from a beach hours away. For Chloe’s last two years of college, these two met weekly in the mornings to stay updated on each other’s lives, read their Bibles, and crack some jokes that made both of them laugh until they woke up sleeping roommates. (P.S. To our roommates who put up with us: we’re sorry! we love you!)

Dayne Dawson

Wes has known Dayne since kindergarten, and they have always played sports together. (Wes plays a lot of sports if you can't tell.) Dayne has been a loyal bro to Wes and a faithful friend to Chloe since he has known both of them. Dayne always makes sure to visit Wes and Chloe or call whenever he is passing through Gainesville, and these three have had the kind of honest, late night talks that are only shared between lifelong friends.

Gilly Mangan

Gilly and Chloe met in Streetlight, a volunteer organization at UF Shands hospital. Bonded from the moment they met, Gilly and Chloe were shocked to find that someone who had such a similar life story even existed! These two never stop having deep, thought-provoking conversations or sharing music/movie/book recommendations, and plan to double date even years in the future!

Jeremy Wood

Wes and Jeremy Wood (who Wes exclusively refers to as ‘Wood’) met in middle school, but really bonded in high school once they joined the football team together and agreed to go on ‘Fun Runs’ after school. Jeremy tolerated Wes ‘torturing him’ in workouts by pushing him to his limit, and Wes tolerated Jeremy’s strict requirement of a pre-workout fruit cup. They quickly realized they were easy friends who just got along really well, and have carried on their friendship for over 10 years.

Stella Kim

Stella and Chloe met freshman year at UF, suffering together through their first college math class. They remained close and decided to live together junior year, where they essentially lived in the same room. Stella would chat every night, keeping Chloe awake until 2 AM (much to Chloe’s chagrin) but Chloe never had the heart to stop the conversation due to how much she loved Stella and her passion for God, genuine, loving spirit and stand-up-comedian-level humor.

Joey Gannaio

Joey, a funny friend from (you guessed it) childhood, plays at Vollmer family game nights, stops to hang out with Wes and Chloe when he passes through Gainesville, and faithfully introduces himself as “Wes’s second-favorite ‘-oey’”. Wes goes to Joey to get educated on investing, Joey goes to Wes to ask about fitness and dieting, and both go to Brazilian steakhouses together to satisfy their meat obsession.
