About Us

Wes: “The first time I hung out with Chloe (5ish years ago) we went to play tennis with Carly and Josh and then subsequently went to go play Scrabble, two things I am awful at. I remember having a super fun time hanging out with Chloe even though I am incredibly competitive and lost every game we played that day. We started texting every day after that and I realized how incredible she was and wanted to seriously date her. It was close to the end of high school so we agreed to go to Perkins (Chloe clarified it was not a date) to talk about dating (I was as confused as you). She will never admit to saying this, but she told me she didn’t want to date because she only had a little bit of time left with all her high school friends. I was already in love, though, so I just kept on talking with her everyday. A few weeks later, she finally agreed to on an ‘official’ date and we hit it off.” Chloe: “Wes is probably going to say something about how I tried to friend zone him at first but for the record it is NOT true! I’ll admit I was nervous to date him because, even from the little amount of time we had spent together in our last year of high school, he really felt like he could be ‘The One’ material… and I was 18 and far from ready to meet ‘The One’. But regardless of what I was ready for, I knew I would always regret saying no to a date with this cute, kind, smart, funny guy who happened to walk me to many classes and would even stop in to say hi to my mom (who worked at my high school at the time) several times a week. Once they start sucking up to your mom… that’s when you know they’re serious. Having genuinely the best time together started the day we went on our first date and carried on as we dated for two years living 700 miles apart while Wes played college football, followed by 2 years of living 7 minutes apart! It has been such a blessing to grow up together. I don’t think I could love him more than I do today, but I know tomorrow I’ll prove myself wrong.”
