Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

To help set the tone for the big day, we are requesting cocktail garden party attire. For women, midi or maxi dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates are perfect choices. For men, a full suit is always appropriate, or slacks with a dress shirt if you’d like a lighter option. Ties and jackets are welcome, but not required. We’d love for guests to skip anything too casual (like jeans, polos, shorts, or sneakers) and keep white and lavender reserved for the bride and bridesmaids. Most of all, we can’t wait to see everyone looking their best and celebrating with us!

Question

Do I have to RSVP?

Answer

Yes! An RSVP is absolutely required. It is essential for planning seating and reception meals. If we do not get an RSVP back by the date we provided, it will be marked as a no and you will be missed!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you received a plus one, it will kindly say so on the invitation and will appear under your name when you RSVP. Otherwise, we would love to keep our wedding as intimate as possible with close friends and family.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have made the decision to keep our reception and ceremony adult-only (apart from a few close cousins). We hope this does not cause too much hassle for you and encourage you to use this as a “date-night”!

Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors at the beautiful Kress Oval Gardens. In case of rain, we’ve got a backup plan, so no need to worry!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 2:00pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early prior to the ceremony to give yourself time to park and find a seat.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There’s plenty of free parking at the Green Bay Botanical Garden for the ceremony! Follow the signs when you arrive, and someone will help point you in the right direction. At Hotel Northland, we recommend using the Pine Street parking ramp. It’s free from Friday at 6 PM through Monday at 6 AM! From there, you can head straight into the lobby from either the Pine Street or Adams Street entrances. If you’re staying overnight, you can also use the skywalk or park near section 3A for easy access with your room key.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Your comfort and safety are important to us. Please let us know about any dietary restrictions or food allergies when you RSVP, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. If you have any questions or want to double-check something, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to help!

Question

I still have questions—who can I reach out to?

Answer

We’re happy to help! If you have any other questions not covered here, feel free to reach out to us directly at bhmhwalz@gmail.com. We want to make sure you feel totally prepared and excited for the big day!
