FAQs

If you have any questions, whether it's finding accommodation, planning a trip or finding the best place to party in Poland, you can shoot us a question to weronika.and.dmitriy@gmail.com Please don't hesitate to reach out to us!
Question

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

Formal or Black-Tie Optional. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, don't stress too much about it. The weather in Poland likes to play tricks, so remember to take something warmer, especially for returning to the hotel in the morning after the whole night of celebrating. When planning your outfit, take into account that the ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be in a restaurant.

Question

ARE KIDS INVITED?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! If being able to bring your child is the difference between you being able to attend and not, please contact us and we will try to make some sort of accommodations so that you can fully experience a traditional Polish wedding (get ready to party until dawn!).

Question

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM A TRADITIONAL POLISH WEDDING?

Answer

Some Polish traditional rituals, a lot of drinking, a lot of good food (sit down dinner, a cold buffet throughout the event, hot supper at midnight, soup at 2 a.m.), a lot of drinking, games and charades, loud music, drinking, dancing until the sun comes up, and who knows what else!

Question

What's the difference between Sopot, Gdansk, Gdynia, Old City, Tricity, etc.?

Answer

Short answer is: not much. While Gdansk, Sopot, and Gdynia are technically separate cities, they form a single connected urban area without a perceptible border between them. Think the Bay Area, but much much smaller. Gdansk is known for its history and architecture, which is concentrated around the Old City. Sopot is a popular coastal resort and is the center of nightlife this time of year. Gdynia is a more modern industrial city, which is home to the Polish Navy and a large commercial port, but recently has become a desirable place to live for Polish celebrities and younger people.

Question

WHAT MORE SHOULD I (SEE) (DO) WHILE IN (GDANSK) (POLAND)?

Answer

Oh boy the list is super long! We could go on and on with our recommendations, but we want this to be our wedding website, not TripAdvisor. If you are looking for more tips about things to do/see don't hesitate to hit us up, we would love to share with you all our tips and must see places. Weronika is especially excited for you to fully discover her home city and country!

Question

IS POLAND SAFE?

Answer

As long as you are not planning on going to the soccer game between Lechia Gdansk and Arka Gdynia, you shouldn't be afraid of anything. Poland is very safe, even when coming back late at night to your apartment.
