Bride
Eek! I'm getting married! Words can't describe the excitement I have to be marrying my best friend, as well as having the honor to have these ladies standing beside me. Each and every one of them have brought such joy, laughs, and incredible memories to my life, and all I can say is THANK YOU for being you.
Groom
To be able to look around and realize I am going to be marrying my best friend, with all we have accomplished and continue to achieve, makes me feel so blessed. I would have never imagined my life so full of love and friendship as it is right now.
Matron of Honor
Seeing as she’s my sister, I’ve known Niki since the day I was brought home to 12 Virginia Lane; i.e my whole life, and feel so blessed to have my big sister stand by my side on my wedding day. Niki has given me the best gift - being an aunt - so you can also look forward to seeing her adorable little boy, Lukey, coming down the aisle!
Best Man
An amazing friend who I have know for over a decade. We rushed KA together and Ryan is the reason I found out Erica liked me *long story*. If I'm not with Erica, you can bet that I am fishing with Ryan.
Maid of Honor
Frequently referred to as my soul sister, the Robin Scherbatsky to my Lilly, and the 1/3 of our "threesome" of Bear, Stephan, and Carleen, Steph and I were immediate friends thanks to Sigma Kappa sorority. It's impossible to summarize our friendship in this 800 blurb, so all I can say is: Steph, I am SO honored to have you by my side as I say "I Do", and thank you for being the yin to my yang.
Groomsman
We became friends in college when we rushed KA, and have been close ever since. I can always count on Shane to be positive and genuine, and to be the perfect example of a brother. His laugh is infectious, which keeps us all laughing.
Bridesmaid
I think it was fate for Mags and I to be friends, when not only were we thrown into the same crazy and hilarious family, but that we were also blessed with the same birthday - 12/08 baby! I mean... birthday twins have to be besties, right?! If Mags doesn't have me rolling on the floor laughing, she has me in sheer awe of how wonderful of a human she is. I love you dearly, sweet cousin!
Groomsman
When Lee first joined KA, we immediately related over our combat and veteran experience. It was no question that I would later make him my "little brother" in the fraternity. Lee is alway a good time and down for anything. Loyal and trustworthy, I appreciate his friendship.
Bridesmaid
As another 1/3 to our infamous trio, you almost always would find me with Carly and Steph, flolicking somewhere on the WVU campus. I met Car going into my second year of being in Sigma Kappa, and all the rest is history. Carly is one of the kindest, warmest, and most authentic souls I know, and continuously shows her love, courage, and beauty in the mother she is to her kids, RJ and Flora.
Groomsman
Also referred to as "Lam" or "Lammy" by Erica, both Erica and I met Lamar at similar times. Lamar is a combat veteran who served in Iraq, so we've related on many levels from the beginning. Some of my favorite memories with Lamar are from nights at Fat Daddy's with the crew, and I am slowly trying to get him into fishing. (Side note: Erica wanted Lamar on her side of the wedding party... but I got my way.)
Bridesmaid
Going all the way back to high school, Kristin was one of my very first friends and immediate connections. Kristin has always been such a constant in my life, having stayed so close through college and now into these incredible milestones. Kristin granted me the high honor of being Maid of Honor at her wedding in 2021, and I cannot be more excited to now have her stand by me on my big day.
Groomsman
I met Will through Lamar & Lee, so safe to say it was an instant friendship. Will is an avid fisherman and outdoorsmen, so we always have stories on our big catches or upcoming trips. We are also very proud of him for serving the marine corp as a helicopter pilot.
Bridesmaid
Four words ... One of a kind. Believe it or not, I met Jamie on my very first day of high school, and I always knew that our friendship was one for the books. If Jamie and I weren't heading to cheer practice, we were plotting our next hangout sesh to make hair bows (omg... we were so girlie back then) or simply laying low and having long chats about our hopes and dreams. Jamie's elegance, intelligence, and downright tenacity makes her such a role model, and I am so thrilled that life/fate has kept us in each other's lives.
Groomsman
Troy and I rushed together in KA and from then on, he has been such a close friend in my life. If I had to say what I appreciate most about Troy, it's his ability to be honest, genuine, and loyal. I never doubt Troy always has my best interest at heart, which makes him such a great friend.
Bridesmaid
I can thank this gorgeous lady for making Sigma Kappa my home away from home. When I first joined my sorority, it was SO overwhelming to find a place in a sea of 130 other women. Chelsea embraced me, showed me the ropes, and later made me her "little sis". Chelsea is the kind of friend that you can call on at any hour of the day with no doubt she will move hell or high water to be there. She has always become the most stunning momma!
Groomsman
Bryden is another fellow KA brother and one of my closest friends. One of my favorite memories with Bryden was when we used to play pool tournaments with each other every week in college. We may have never brought home the gold.... just memories and great times, which is win in my book.
Bridesmaid
Also a fellow Sigma Kappa sister, Paige and I met during pledging and it was an immediate match. Always up for a good time, good laugh, and good memories, I honestly think back on my time at WVU with such fondness thanks to Paige.
Groomsman
As a fellow KA brother, Kris is another great example of an immediate friendship. Even in college, I always appreciated Kris for his business savvy mind, and endless support for his friends. Kris is the kind of friend where you call to talk for 5 minutes and then 2 hours goes by easily. There is no doubt that Kris and I will stay close friends as life continues and be a part of these big things in our lives. Also, shout out to Kris for being the first Dad of the group!
Bridesmaid
So excited to make this girl my sister-in-law! As soon as I met Amber, it felt like we immediately hit it off. Amber's positivity is one of the things I admire most about her and her kind heart is infectious. I should also warn everyone to be ready for the #cutenessoverload, which are her 3 adorable kids, Ben, Cam, and Ayla, heading down the aisle as out mini-groomsmen and flower girl!
Groomsman
If one word comes to mind when I think about PJ, it would 100% be reliable. As a fellow KA brother, PJ is someone who I can always count on for anything. Also, we are very proud of him for graduating and becoming New Jersey State Police Officer. P.s PJ likes fishing thanks to me.
Jr. Bridesmaid
I have to laugh whenever I think back to when I first met Madi. Shane was taking me home to meet the family for the first time, and warned me that there was one person that would be hard for me to win over. You guessed it - that person was 6 year old Madi. When I walked into Matt and Kim's house, and Madi poked out, I don't know if it was divine intervention or my mentioning that I worked at Justice (a little girl's clothing store), but Madi and I became immediate friends. I have loved watching Madi grow and become the most kindhearted, creative, and spunky girl I know. I feel so blessed to have her by my side.
Groomsman
When I think of Jake, I think of true brotherhood. As a fellow KA brother, Jake has proven to always be there when you need him and someone you can truly count on. While he's had to move away from PA for his training and active duty, it's always great to hear when he's coming home for an infamous Saunders gathering. We are very proud of Jake for currently serving in the Navy.
Officiant & Bridesmaid
We don't even know where to start! When we sat down to start planning our wedding, we knew that from the start, we wanted each piece of our big day to mean something special to both of us. So, safe to say that when we started to discuss who would marry us, it was a no-brainer to think of KP. We both met KP in college - more importantly - the KA house, and the rest is history. KP actually witnessed the infamous "slap" in the KA great hall *long story*, so she was one of the first people to know that we had crushes on one another. Flash forward, it seems perfect to have her be the one to officiate the "I Do's"!
