Our Story
Our love story started at The University of Nebraska College of Law in Lincoln, Nebraska! We met outside the classroom playing on a rec volleyball team with other law students and started dating the summer after we finished our first year.
Jacob proposed in August 2025 while we were on vacation in Vail, Colorado with his family. He planned a walk through a botanical garden before dinner and timed the proposal so his brother Josh could come out of hiding to photograph the moment. Afterward, we met up with his family in Vail Village to celebrate with champagne and dinner. The next day, we left for a trip with Marissa’s family, making it special to celebrate the engagement with both of our families back-to-back.
2026 is a year full of blessings for us. We finish our last semester, graduate in May, study and take the Nebraska Bar Exam over the summer, start our full time jobs at law firms in Omaha in August, and say we do in October!
