Maid of Honor
Despite the 9 year age gap, I'd say we're pretty close, but maybe that's only because she buys me food when I'm broke...
Best Man
We've known each other since Xin was 8. Whenever we're hanging out we're likely playing board games or video games. What else is there to say?
Bridesmaid
We have been friends since high school, where we found a shared interest in j-pop (including Wendy's beloved Arashi) and Japanese dramas.
Groomsman
Shu is one of Xin's oldest friends, with the two having met in Ms. Mallard's Kindergarten classroom. After 26 years of halo II tournaments, games of "21" on the basketball court, and countless other adventures, Shu is honored to be a part of Xin's biggest day yet. Still residing in the Cambridge area, Shu does hopes that Xin and Wendy will move back someday... or at least come visit from time to time.
Bridesmaid
We shared a small apartment for 4 years in a row and managed to love and tolerate each other rather than kill each other, so that sure is an accomplishment!
Groomsman
We first met in intermural soccer. We've been in orchestra together, rowed, sailed and now Xin works at my company.
Bridesmaid
People thought we were the same person all through med school, but surprise! We're not.
Groomsman
I've known Xin for more than half of my life. We first met when I was 5 and have known each other for 10 years. Coincidentally, that's more or less how long Wendy has known Xin for. So we've got a pretty strong relationship.
Officiant
Xin and Alan met 20 years ago at Summerbridge where they realized that they lived only two houses apart. They have been close friends ever since. They ran back and forth between their houses playing Magic and video games. When they were split apart by college (2 miles), they turned to Starcraft and Fantasy Football to keep tabs on one another. A couple of years after graduation, Alan recruited Xin to work at Amplitude. Eventually, they realized it would be easier to play games if they just lived together. For three years they worked together, lived together, ran over a dozen Spartan Races together, and shared the same friends... you might joke that Xin's first marriage was to Alan (sorry, Wendy).
