Wendy and Xin met in the summer of 2008 through a volunteer trip in a medical orphanage in China. Wendy walked in late to their orientation day, and when their eyes met, they both thought, "hmm...he/she kinda looks familiar..." They had known of each other but didn't start speaking until then. They quickly became friends and bonded over late night study sessions, sushi and KBBQ. Over the next ten years, they grew closer, wiser (Wendy), and more buff (Xin). Wendy was very sad when Xin decided to move to San Francisco to start a new job while she remained in the east coast to complete her medical training. However, after 4 years, they're finally on the same coast (west coast best coast?), and are excited to kick off the next step of their journey!
