Maid of Honor
Born best friends, Wendy and Jessica are separated by two years but bound by a lifetime of shared experiences. While Jessica is Wendy's younger sister, you sometimes wouldn't know it by the way Jessica is so good at taking care of Wendy. Whether it's emotional support, counsel, or a laugh-filled dance party, Jessica is excellent at knowing what Wendy needs--a trait that will surely serve her well as Maid of Honor.
Best Man
Mike and Sean have known each other for 20 years. Their friendship was born out of competition and rivalry in the sports they played together. They first met during summer practice of freshman football at Rockland High School, and they continued as teammates in basketball, baseball, and golf. After Sean left Boston to move to Utah, Mike worked hard to keep their friendship alive. Sean is forever grateful for Mike's friendship and support and considers him not only his best friend but also his brother.
Bridesmaid
Erin and Wendy met when they moved to Omaha, Wendy to attend law school and Erin to attend medical school, both at Creighton. Their friendship really blossomed when they discovered a shared love of Veronica Mars and other CW television shows. Wendy moved back to Utah to begin a clerkship, and Erin followed a year later to begin her residency at Primary Children's Hospital. The two take advantage of living in the same city by frequently leaving it together.
Bridesmaid
Wendy likes to tell people that Suzzanne was her first friend in Omaha, because it sums up so much of their friendship. Suzzanne has always found simple yet profound ways to offer her friendship, from sitting next to Wendy when she was adjusting to a new ward to delivering food and baked goods when Wendy was suffering from COVID. It's also important to note the other ways Suzzanne regularly contributes to Wendy's life, by introducing her to excellent music, lovely books, and absurd television shows.
Bridesmaid
Jamie and Wendy met when Wendy began working at Zions Bank. It didn't take long for the two to realize they shared some important characteristics, namely a love of sports and an impatience with ineffective work environments. The latter gave the two something to connect over until Jamie bridged the work-personal gap and offered to come to a basketball game at the high school where Wendy was coaching cheer. The rest, as they say, is history. Separate cities has done nothing to dim the light of their friendship, and by the wedding, the two should have a 1,300-day Snap streak.
Groomsman
Compared to some other relationships with the wedding party, Sean has known Tyler a relatively short period of time. But the two felt an immediate connection when they met--probably because they knew both of their lives would be easier if they got along. (Tyler's wife, Jessica, is Wendy's best friend and little sister.) The two also connected in their own right, though. They bonded over a love of sports, and of golf in particular. Tyler's quiet demeanor offsets Sean's tendency toward being a loud goofball. But most importantly, Tyler and his family have shown Sean love and acceptance, and Sean is excited that marrying Wendy means more time with Tyler to come.
Bridesmaid
Cousins first and friends later, Wendy and Kristine grew up across the country from each other. They began to get closer when they discovered a nifty little tool: AOL Instant Messenger. From there, the two began to realize how much they had in common. That has remained true over the years, whether it's a shared love of Michael Robinson or their emotional reactions to every day life. While the two often spend long periods apart, they know they can always look forward to an eventual reunion at a Penn State football game.
Bridesmaid
While Wendy has more than a dozen nieces and nephews, Abby has always held a special place in her heart. That's probably because she was the first niece, and it felt like Wendy had to wait forever for her to arrive. Now, as Abby gets ready to graduate and looks forward to adulthood, Wendy continues to love the company of her first niece. Whether it's a silly snapchat, a FaceTime about boys, or sitting around playing games, time with Abby is always time Wendy cherishes. Now, Wendy looks forward to entering a new phase of her own life with Abby right by her side.
Bridesmaid
In the halls of Hunter Jr. High School, Wendy and Adiel formed a fast friendship. They had several classes together their seventh grade year, which paved the way for decades in each other's lives. They cheered together in ninth grade, coached cheer together a few years after that, and now discuss cheer as Adiel's daughter has started on her own competition team. But the two share so much more than that. Intense loyalty and a shared belief in the power of positivity are the recipe for this beautiful friendship.
Groomsman
Sean and Cameron met in early high school, where Cameron became Sean's go-to homework tutor. More importantly, the two bonded over their passion for sports and video games. Sean spent countless days and weekends with Cameron, and Cameron's family became like Sean's own. Cameron's father, Brooke, and sister, Brianna, continue to be important influences in Sean's life. Cameron and Sean recently reconnected, and it felt as if no time had passed at all. Sean considers that to be the mark of their true friendship.
Bridesmaid
When Wendy travelled to Creighton's Accepted Students Day, she had no idea that the girl from St. Louis sitting across from her would change her life. Months later, when Wendy moved to Omaha and showed up at Creighton for her first day of law school, she formally met Jen. The two almost immediately joined a study group together, began entering competitions together, and became inseparable to the point that others in the law school started jointly referring to them as "Jendy." The years and miles travelled since graduation have done nothing to lesson that bond, and Jendy still lives on.
