Feel free to reach out for more specific recommendations.

Carpe Diem más que café

Potrero Beach, Costa Rica

If you want to grab a quick lunch or skip breakfast at the hotel and go out instead, this is a great option!

Las Brisas Restaurant

If you're looking for fancy this is not it. If you want amazing seafood and a genuinely local Costa Rican setting, you will LOVE this place.

La Jama Playa Potrero

Small street-side spot to grab a bite. Good seafood and fast-food.

Cafe Del Sol Lounge & Rooftop

Great spot for a night out! Have a cocktail, grab dinner and listen to live music.

Super close to our hotel! Right on the beach, amazing view, good food!

Visit: Monteverde

Visit: Monteverde

Monteverde, Provincia de Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Our favorite! It's a small town in a cloud forest, it'll be in the 70s with occasional rain. There's so many things to do: zip lining https://selvatura.com , walks in the forest, hanging bridges, horseback riding...

Visit: La Fortuna

Visit: La Fortuna

La Fortuna, Alajuela Province, Costa Rica

Still a town but more developed and alive. It'll be in the upper 80's and 90's, very humid. Zip lining and hanging bridges, hot springs https://baldihotsprings.cr , you can take a walk up to the skirts of the volcano https://parqueecologicocr.com/day-pass/, dirt bikes, rafting, you can visit the Fortuna Waterfall https://www.cataratalafortuna.com (heads up: to get to the bottom its 500+ steps).

Visit: Cahuita

Visit: Cahuita

Cahuita, Limón Province, Costa Rica

Cahuita is in the Caribbean. It will be in the 80's and probably rain a lot (it's rainy season in that part of the country) but the scenery is amazing. You can go sloth watching in the sanctuary https://www.slothsanctuary.com , chocolate tours, snorkeling, explore the Cahuita National Park, there's night rainforest tours where you can see spiders, frogs, bats (not everyone's cup of tea)... It's a long ride there, or an hour flight from San Jose to Limon airport plus a 40 min drive to Cahuita, but worth it if you're spending a few days there and the activities sound interesting to you.

For all the days along the way
