Question

Será una celebración para adultos solamente? | Will it be an adult only weekend?

Answer

Sí, queremos que nuestra familia y amigos celebren este fin de semana con nosotros sin ninguna restricción. Por favor, dejen a los pequeños en casa o agenden cuidado de los niños durante las festividades del fin de semana. Yes, it's important to us that you to celebrate with us fully -- please leave the little ones at home or arrange childcare during the weekend festivities.

Question

Attire | Vestimenta

Answer

Please dress in elevated beach-appropriate attire that suits the coastal setting: -Airy maxi or midi dresses in light fabrics, in pastel colors or tropical hues. -Linen or light-color pants, lightweight collared shirts (short or long sleeves/knitted polos). -No tie or blazers required, but welcome if you like! -Please avoid flip‑flops, overly casual footwear and dark/heavy fabrics.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

It will be dry season -summer time- so we are hoping it will be sunny and between 75°F and 90°F in Guanacaste. If you're planning on seeing more of Costa Rica after the wedding weekend, the weather will be different depending on where you're going. If you're wondering how different it can be, the answer is VERY different! Make sure to check and plan accordingly!

Question

Will I need cash in Costa Rica?

Answer

They will accept your credit card almost everywhere you go in Costa Rica. Getting some colones (the CR currency) could be useful to get an ice cream at the beach or pay at the few places where they don't accept cards. Be mindful of the exchange rate: if you end up not using your colones, you'll lose a big percentage exchanging them back to dollars.

Question

is tipping a thing in costa rica?

Answer

Service fees are already included in your bill at restaurants, so tipping is not expected. You could tip some services like porters, guest attendants at the hotel or shuttle drivers.
