Best Man
I am a close friend of the groom (Dr Wency), having known him for almost four decades. A loyal companion and reliable buddy, we are simply known to each other as “Bone.” Our shared sense of humor, work ethic, endurance and determined spirit have been defining ingredients of our friendship through the years. Besides work, I enjoy travelling, reading, watching soccer, playing tennis and spending time with my family and friends. It is the honour of my life to stand beside the groom as he celebrates 25 years of love, success and friendship with his darling wife, Mado.
Maid of Honor
I have had the privilege of being close friends with the bride (Aunty Mado) for nearly three decades. Though she is my “big sister,” we affectionately call each other “sis,” a testament to the deep bond and shared journey we have nurtured over the years. Together, we have raised our children and supported one another through life’s seasons. Her unwavering support has been instrumental in my personal growth in the United States. In my leisure, I delight in sewing, experimenting with new recipes, immersing myself in books, and exploring the wonders of the world through travel.
Bridesmaid
I live in Colorado with my husband, Jude and our three kids. I enjoy reading, travelling, dancing, playing board games, crocheting & cooking. From spending time with family and friends, to trying out a new recipe, or getting lost in a good book, I find joy in life’s little moments. I am honored to stand beside Mado and Wency as they celebrate 25 beautiful years of love and partnership. Mado and I have been friends for two decades, thanks to our husbands, who have been brothers for life! I have had the privilege of witnessing her remarkable qualities as a loving wife and extraordinary mother who is the glue that holds her family together. It is an honour to stand beside you on your special day Mado. Cheers to 25 years of love and a lifetime more!
Groomsman
Dr. Wency and I have known each other from time immemorial. We became friends through our parents' relationship in Wum, where they were very active and devoted servants at the Holy Trinity Church in Wum. We all moved to the University of Buea in the mid-90s where Dr. met Mado. While I played a small role in bringing them together, Dr. also assisted in convincing my wife, Yvette, to accept me. We have and continue to live together in the spirit our parents taught us, and we are grateful to be part of this milestone in their marriage life!
Bridesmaid
Kuna and I have developed a trusting relationship over the years, dating back to our days at the University of Buea, where we lived next to each other in the same student residential hostel. I was privileged to watch her romance blossom to marriage. We traveled to the United States and again worked with the same employer for years. I am truly honored and excited to celebrate their special union. During my downtime, I enjoy " movies, trying new recipes, dancing Kassav with my family and connecting with friends.
Groomsman
Dr Nkem ‘Wency’ and I have known each other for over 20 years. However, Mado, his sweetheart and my wife Laura have been great friends since their days at UB. We became close as couples, visiting and supporting each other while residing in Virginia/Maryland during our hustling journey and professional growth. I cannot believe it’s been these many years since we cheered them up the aisle during their church wedding in VA. It is an honor to be by his side as he celebrates this huge milestone. I enjoy research, writing and travel.
Groomsman
Wency has not just been a close friend but more like a brother and mentor to me for over 19 years. I have witnessed his generous spirit and unwavering commitment to those he loves, making him a truly inspiring figure in his community. Wency is a compassionate and selfless individual, known for his dedication to uplifting others and encouraging them to reach their full potential. With a passion for dressing elegantly, he exudes warmth and sophistication in all he does. A devoted husband and family man, Wency has spent over 25 years cherishing and supporting his wife, Mado.
Bridesmaid
I met Mado many years ago in Buea through some mutual friends. We clicked immediately, but her relocation to the US after graduating from the University of Buea physically disrupted our friendship. Emphasis here is on 'physically' because we kept the communication going, which speaks volumes about Mado's character as a loyal friend. I love her always and wish she and Wency an even better 25 years and beyond.
Bridesmaid
Auntie Mado, you’ve been such a blessing—a true big sister in every sense. Your kindness, empathy, and ability to make everyone feel valued stand out. I’ll never forget when you visited my parents during my dad’s illness, bringing so much love and a thoughtful gift. You’re loyal, hardworking, and put family first, creating an environment where everyone thrives. You’re also a fantastic cook and an amazing dancer—your “balle à terre” moves always bring a smile. As you celebrate 25 years of marriage, I celebrate you. Congratulations and blessings always!
Bridesmaid
To Mado, my friend and sister. “Mami," as we usually called you when we were growing up, we became so close and eventually sisters until people thought we were from the same parents. Mado has inspired me since she left Cameroon, ensuring I met her here in the USA. She made sure I did not lack anything back in Cameroon. When I arrived in the USA and became sick, she did her best to help me recover. I remain thankful to her; Mado has always been a sweet soul to all she meets. Wishing you all in your marriage life.
Groomsman

Bridesmaid
I have known the bride for close to two decades. I became close to the bride and her family in America through my sister/friend, Dr. Relindis Mutia. Mado is one of the most kindhearted, dedicated mothers and hardworking people I’ve had the pleasure and honor of calling my friend. I admire her calm demeanor and charisma. Mado and her husband have always been there for my family. Mado, I truly appreciate your willingness, selflessness, and generosity in helping others in need. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate and value your friendship. Thank you for letting us share your special day. Best wishes for a joyful marriage filled with laughter, love, and adventures. CONGRATULATIONS QUEEN!
Groomsman
I am married with four children, and I live in Maryland. I have known Dr. Wency for about 40 years, connecting through village visits, schooling in Menji and Nveh, attending the University of Buea, and later in the USA. Our bond has deepened over time, revealing his warm, kindhearted, and dependable nature. Though related by blood, our friendship is profound. It is an honor to be his groomsman for this special event.
Groomsman
I have known Dr Wence for almost 40 years, having both attended Our Lady Seat of Wisdom from 1985 to 1990. As a handsome and caring young man, he was attracted to beautiful girls in school, which earned him the nickname “Respecteur.” Of course, we were jealous of him. Undoubtedly, he married our beautiful queen Mado before me, the Duke of Stressau. I thank God for blessing your marriage with beautiful kids, and happy to be part of this silver jubilee celebration.
Bridesmaid
I met Mado in our first year at the university. She has always been simple, kind, and peace-oriented. Mado is family-oriented, loves her family so much, and has a strong attachment to her mom. She met Wency in year two. They started their journey as two love birds, and here we are today. I wish them nothing but Divine inspiration and leadership. Love them both
Groomsman
I got to know Dr. Wency through a wonderful elder brother Mr. Ivo a few years ago, and since then, we’ve been doing business together. When he came to Germany for a deal, we just clicked. Our interaction felt like we had known each other for a very long time, and the connection was instant. He came to my house, and the way he bonded with my wife and kids was remarkable. It was clear from the start how strong and genuine his character is. And when I visited him, I was welcomed with such warmth. His wife and children were so friendly, making me feel completely at home. Dr. Wency is truly an honest, kind, and open-minded person. I’m genuinely grateful that our paths crossed, and I believe that, even in my next life, I would want him in it. I don’t just consider him a friend; I proudly call him my brother.

Groomsman
It’s an honor to be selected as a groomsman, and I’m proud to stand beside two people who’ve truly impacted my life. I first met Dr. Wency years ago at Felix Mutia’s house, and most of our early encounters were around the grill. He’s absolutely awesome at grilling meat—juicy, flavorful, unforgettable. But beyond the grill, he struck me right away as an elder brother: kind, approachable, and down to earth. When Niki and I entered the residential group home space, he became our mentor, always just a call away when we hit a roadblock. He and Auntie Mado have been our “911” more times than I can count. Over time, I’ve come to deeply admire Auntie Mado too. Together, they’re a model of love, generosity, and commitment to family. Their bond is something Niki and I aspire to in our own 13-year journey. Dr. Wency’s wisdom, swag, and dance moves seal the deal. Wishing them many more joyful years ahead.

I love exploring cultures through travel, food, and connection. When home, I’m in the kitchen trying new recipes, sewing, or indulging in movies (and a few soaps—LOL!). I’m a tech geek at heart and, most of all, a Jesus lover. I met Dr. Wency and Auntie Mado through my sister Dr. Nash nearly 20 years ago and have admired their love ever since. Sharing a Godson with Dr. Wency has been a blessing. Happy 25th Anniversary! May your love keep blooming and inspiring others. 💕💍
