FAQs

Please reference this page for any lingering questions you may have about the wedding weekend!
Question

Is there a deadline to RSVP?

Answer

Yes! We kindly ask that you RSVP by July 30, 2025. If we do not receive your RSVP by that date, it will be automatically marked as "Not Attending." If this is the case, we will miss celebrating with you, but it is imperative that we provide out vendors with the final guest count within the time they have given us. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive AT LEAST 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time to find parking, make your way to the ceremony location, and find your seat. While we understand that many of our guests run on Miami time, we kindly ask that you plan accordingly so that you can be seated by the start of the ceremony. The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 PM, so please plan to arrive by 5:30 PM at the latest. Once the ceremony begins, entrance will not be granted until the ceremony is completed.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dress to impress! Our wedding is Black Tie Optional, meaning women should wear a floor length dress or gown and men should wear a suit or tux. The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors before sunset, but the reception will take place indoors, so please dress accordingly.

Question

Can I wear black?

Answer

Yes! The wedding party will be wearing black, but because the attire is black tie optional, you are more than welcome to wear black.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather in Asheville in late August can range from the low 80s to mid 60s. During the day, you may experience temperatures in the low to mid 80s, however, after the sun sets, the weather tends to cool down into the high to mid 60s. If you plan to wear a dress without sleeves, please bring a light jacket, as it may get cold (especially for our Miami people)!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be placed on silent and put away. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures and we are happy to share those photos with you when we receive them. Once the ceremony is over, please feel free to take as many pictures as you would like and don't forget to share them with us!

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one, they will appear when you RSVP.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this is strictly an adults-only occasion. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Will there be a welcome party?

Answer

Yes! We are so excited to have everyone join us for our big day, and we recognize that it is a sacrifice to travel to be with us. For that reason, we would love everyone to join us for a welcome party the night before, on August 29, 2025.

Question

Is there a dress code for the Welcome Party?

Answer

Yes! The welcome party will be a white out, so please come dressed to impress in your best white outfit. Cocktail attire is preferred.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside, but the reception will take place indoors.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes—the drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you! If you are not taking an Uber or Lyft back to your hotel, please arrange transportation from the venue if you plan on drinking.

Question

How long with the wedding be?

Answer

We are expecting the ceremony to be 30 minutes or less, followed by a cocktail hour and a three-hour reception.
