We're getting married!

We met at Florida Christian School, when we were sixth grade. After years of knowing each other, school changes, and the first two years of high school, we began officially dating in September of 2015. Throughout junior and senior year of high school, we supported each other at volleyball games, basketball games, lacrosse games, and served on the homecoming court together in our senior year. Fast forward to the end of senior year, Brittany was off to the University of Florida in the fall, and Michael to Florida Atlantic University. We spent our first two and half years of college long distance, visiting each other at every chance we got. After his second year at FAU, Michael decided to return to Miami to finish his college degree at Florida International University. And then, in March of 2020, effected by the global pandemic, Brittany returned back to Miami to finish off her junior year remotely. In August of 2020, Brittany returned back to the University of Florida to finish off her degree, and in December 2020, she graduated and returned to Miami. However, in August of 2022, Brittany returned back to school to begin her law degree at Florida International University while Michael began his coaching career at FCS. As it turns out, the past three years have been a lot like our first three years: supporting each other in school and cheering Michael on at athletic games (except this time, he's the coach). On August 7, 2024, after nearly nine years of dating, two and a half years of long distance, a global pandemic, and two years of law school, we got engaged (finally!) in Malibu, California. We immediately began planning our wedding, knowing that we wanted to get married shortly after Brittany finished law school and took the bar. We settled on our perfect date, August 30, 2025, only 24 days shy of our ten year anniversary. And that brings us to where we are today—just a little while to go until forever!
