4:00 pm
Our small ceremony will be in the chapel at St. Martin's. The church is on the edge of downtown, near the impressive state capitol building, and not far from the University of Texas at Austin, in case you have interest in exploring any of those areas beforehand.
5:30 pm
We want everyone to be able to enjoy the evening, so if you get yourself to the ceremony, we'll take care of the rest! (You're welcome to leave a car at the church overnight.) We'll have a van from the church after the service and pictures. (And FYI - since there are only 37 of us, we've asked our photographer to spend some time taking headshots/family photos for all of you! So please make sure you take advantage.)
5:45 pm
Please enjoy snacks and a cocktail hour until dinner at 7. Plan for a relaxed evening. We are overjoyed to simply share food, drinks, and conversation with you, our dear family and friends.
Sat, Sep 28, 2019, 10:00 pm - Sun, Sep 29, 2019, 1:00 am
We have the space at Contigo until closing at midnight. When you're ready to call it a night, we'll have a van ready to take you back to your hotel (or wherever you'd like to go) - no need to take a rideshare instead. Rachel's dad Steve will help get you where you're going.
10:00 am
Plan to have a relaxed brunch at the Wellhausens' rental house. Food will be available from 10 AM onward. Come by whenever you'd like!
5:00 pm
Alex and Rachel will be at dinner at Terry Black's BBQ at 5 on Sunday before the bats. Please come by and join us if you'd like! The restaurant has counter service with open seating, so grab some food and come find us.
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Location: The Lone Star Riverboat dock is located next to the South 1st street bridge, 100 yards to the west of the Hyatt Hotel (208 Barton Springs Rd). You can find parking tips here: http://lonestarriverboat.com/parking_tips.html. ** Boarding starts at 6:30 and the boat leaves promptly at 7:00. We have it all to ourselves! Feel free to bring drinks or snacks. ** A colony of 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats nest under the Congress Bridge over Ladybird Lake. They fly out quite spectacularly every evening around sunset to go hunting for bugs.
