Wedding Party

Meet the people we love who will stand along side us as we say 'I do'!

Alexander Akbari

Best Man

Nashville, TN The date was October 1, 2016 and my entire career/future were on the line as it was test day for my live patient dental license exam in Memphis, Tenn. Not only was Coleman my (excellent) licensure patient, but Jasmine was also one of my biggest supporters as I passed that day, creating one of my favorite memories. Kaitlyn, Jasmine, Coleman, and I celebrated that evening together at the Peabody Hotel and later on Beale Street. Being close friends with Coleman has allowed me to see first hand how awesome and real their relationship is and Kaitlyn and I look forward to celebrating their union. Congratulations!"

Afton Brown

Maid of Honor

Atlanta, GA Jasmine is my first cousin and my best friend. She is someone who will always love me. The imperfect me, the confused me...the wrong me. Because that is the kind of friend she is to me. My best memories of Jasmine live in all the times I was just being "me" and we were just being us. One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - Proverbs 18:24

Donne Lawson

Best Man

Los Angeles, CA I met Coleman with our late friend David Boyd Jr. We were the Memphis crew at Morehouse College. David was lively, his charm got us into almost any event and some crazy situations! I was the tough one that made it out of some challenging situations. Coleman was the unfailingly loyal protector of our group. These guys became my friends almost overnight. Sometimes one knows a friend no matter the past or pain. These are friends because of genuine laughter, love and support. He still protects us all as younger brothers, by being the first to commit in matrimony to the more than worthy Spelmanite, Jasmine Boyd. I’m very happy to be part of this journey! You are courageous and this new journey is more than admirable! I wish you lifelong happiness in your marriage!

Ja’Bria Parker

Maid of Honor

Atlanta, GA My favorite memory would have to be celebrating my brother's wedding in Mexico while getting to know Coleman with drinks and music in the pool.

Julian Boyd

Groomsman

Atlanta, GA My best memory of Coleman is the fun times I had with him and my older brother David, from spring break trips in Cancun to house parties at 1825. Coleman probably doesn’t knowhow much he helped my family after the loss of my brother David. He’s the true definition of a friend, better yet an older brother. I know that I can call him at any time for anything and he would make it happen and vice versa. I’m so proud to be a part of the wedding party because Coleman and Jasmine deserve all the happiness in the world! Prayers and Blessings to the Wilson family! Here’s to Forever!

Jessica Burton

Bridesmaid

Memphis, TN My favorite memory of Jasmine would have to be this random night when me her and my sister were hanging out and ended up at this house by the U of M. I don’t really remember who's house it was or how we ended up there but I remember her and my sister beat boxing with a pair of scissors on their kitchen table. It’s was so random but we had so much fun.

Eric Gittens

Groomsman

Los Angeles, GA Best memory of Coleman Wilson is the infamous quote, "50,000 won."

Janille Chambers

Bridesmaid

Los Angeles, GA My favorite memory is the time I crashed what would otherwise have been a romantic weekend getaway that Jasmine and Coleman had set up in New Orleans for Jasmine’s birthday. I showed up expecting one of our other girlfriends to be there, but she couldn’t make it. In spite of this, Coleman was so fun and welcoming! I knew then he was a special guy. By the end of the weekend, we had enjoyed bar hopping, fine dining, buying art, and extreme drinking on Bourbon street. We had a ball and took plenty of pics to prove it. I’m beyond happy that my girl found her match in Coleman and I can’t wait to stand next to her on the BIG day!

Ronald McFarland

Groomsman

Nashville, GA My favorite memory of Coleman is when we went to our first Jack & Jill teen conference in Orlando. We weren’t even supposed to be there, as we were in 8th grade, but confidently convinced everyone we belonged. Coleman, David, and I skipped most real meetings but attended every teen party and event we could. We had so much fun acting like adults that we came back to every conference and even decided to go to the same college. Seventeen years later, we're still friends and hopefully get to share many more memories together with Jasmine as well. Congrats brother!

Shayna Steward

Bridesmaid

Memphis, TN Meeting Jasmine was a chance encounter and peak Atlanta living. It was the perfect pairing for a black girlfriend sitcom. Attempts to see if it was black girl magic fell short. I was regretful until a random Walmart encounter. She walked out w/ a black person in 2010 in colored contacts! I was perplexed by the person’s choice and associated it Jasmine’s ability to be the friend I wanted. Was I shallow? Maybe? I thought she was cool but maybe I was wrong. In 2012, she texted she was moving to my hometown, I tell her I'm moving back. I hadn’t lived in Memphis since 2003. We experienced the city; pranced at BSMF (a sure mating call in her book) and road tripped to ATL. I later confided my reluctance due to colored contacts. Happy I put aside my judgement, they weren’t contacts.

Ali Osman

Groomsman

Los Angeles, CA Coleman and I have known each other for a little over 11 years and met through mutual friends. We've had some really great times over the years and I can't believe we've reached this point. I am just glad he met someone that could tame him down like Jasmine. He's a wild beast to say the least. When I first found out they were dating, I knew they'd be a good match because of what great values both of them have. Coleman is a loyal and honest friend and Jasmine is just an all around superstar! I am grateful that I get to be apart of this and couldn't be happier that these two amazing souls have decided to take this next step!

Ashley Watkins

Bridesmaid

Charlotte, NC This is a story about how I met my best friend on Twitter. Well, not exactly. Neither of us can recall the first time we met at Spelman, but if I had to guess it was probably me watching and listening in awe of this very petite girl with the biggest hair I’d ever seen gesturing dramatically with her hands as she recounted a story to her friends at an octave and decibel that was so unnecessary. If you guessed Jasmine Boyd, then yes you’re right. Gorgeous, passionate, driven, lovingly loud, and soon to be Jasmine Wilson. Congratulations and I love you both.

Dewitt Parker

Groomsman

A special moment Jasmine and I shared was at Warrior Dash somewhere in Backwoodsville Ga. I just returned from a deployment and had not seen Jasmine for over a year. We spent quality time together.

Verushka Wilson

Bridesmaid

Memphis, TN I have so many memories, it’s hard to pick just one. Our random Beale street night is my favorite Jazzy Mae & Coleman memory of all time. Beale Street, Live Music, 152, a slight security mishap and allowing me to convince the two of you into it. Unforgettable. I mean you guys dropped my keys down the elevator shaft. That’s the story as I remember it and all we’ll share. ☺️ Live for the nights we won’t remember with the people we won’t forget.

Wyatt Barton

Ring Bearer

Wyatt is Coleman's four-year old nephew. He loves Spiderman (Myles Morales to be specific), dancing and playing with Titi Jasmine. He can't wait to get all dressed up for the big day!

Krisette Bryan

Flower Girl

Krisette is Jasmine's five-year old little cousin. She loves to talk and can be counted on to tell you a good story, give you a great hug and look soooo cute doing it!

Jayace Parker

Ring Bearer

Jayace is Jasmine's five-year old cousin. He is shy upon first meeting, but once you warm him up he is as loud as he is fun!

Morgan Matthews

Flower Girl

Morgan is the smart, punky daughter of Jasmine's work favorites, Alicia. Morgan loves to laugh and the only thing sweeter than her smile is her caring heart.
