YES! YES! YES! Elevation sickness is absolutely a thing. Being the majority of our guest list is from out of state, we HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend you be drinking a lot of water the week prior to the wedding to avoid the symptoms. While you are in Colorado continue to be drinking a lot of water. The experts say you should be drinking double what you would normally drink when you are at home (or what is considered the normal amount). Another Colorado Tip, bring Chapstick. You will thank us later.
PLEASE CONTACT OUR WEDDING PLANNER LUCIA!!!! She will direct you further to get your questions answered. Her number is 913-378-6488, call or text her. Please do not contact the Bride or Groom on the day of with questions. We would like to enjoy every moment of our special day as stress free as possible. Thank you!
If your Save The Date/ Invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
We love your kids—we really do. We would love for our wedding to be an opportunity for you to take a weekend off. But we also understand it may be hard to find care for a whole weekend, for that reason kids are absolutely invited. Keep in mind the elevation and keeping them hydrated while being active in the mountains.
No, plan a SOBER ride if you plan to stay anywhere else other than the Lodge.
During THE DAY, the average temperature ranges between 50-60 degrees this time of the year. During THE NIGHT, the average temperature ranges between 30-40 degrees this time of the year. It is not uncommon for a light snow fall around this time of the year in the early morning or even mid day. The beautiful thing about mountain snowfall in Colorado is it typically disappears within a few hours. Pack a couple extra layers incase it gets chilly.
