Non UK Citizens: Apply for an electronic travel authorisation (ETA)

As of January this year, the UK now requires an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) for non UK citizens to enter the country, so don't forget to fill it out in advance! You will usually get a decision within 3 working days, but you may get a quicker decision. Occasionally, it may take longer than 3 working days. Check the website for more details.

Transportation to Wortley Hall

Getting to Wortley Hall Wortley Hall is located in Wortley, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, and is easily accessible from both international airports and local train stations. From Manchester Airport (MAN): The nearest airport to Wortley Hall, Manchester is just a 1-hour drive away. You can take a taxi, hire a car, or use public transport to reach the venue. From London Airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, or Stansted): If you fly into London, you can take a direct train or coach to Sheffield, with the journey taking around 2-3 hours. From Sheffield train station, it’s a short taxi ride to Wortley Hall. By Train The nearest train stations to Wortley Hall are: Barnsley – 8 miles Sheffield – 15 miles Taxis are available at both stations to take you directly to the Hall. Alternatively, from Sheffield, you can take the number 29 bus from the Sheffield Bus Station, which travels through Wortley. Once you arrive at the bus stop, it's just a short stroll down the driveway to the Hall. Wortley Hall is where our ceremony will be held, and we recommend our guests to stay! It has 55 bedrooms all individually designed and decorated for guests to stay and make a night of the celebrations. For out of town guests and families, you may like to make a holiday out of the wedding celebrations and stay in one of the 3 self-catering cottages. Speak to a member of the Wortley team for more details. All wedding guests will receive the Advanced purchase rate which is a discounted rate including breakfast. Wedding guests must book rooms themselves and when booking the booker must quote the wedding surnames and must pre pay on booking. To book a room, please contact Wortley Hall directly at 0114 288 2100 or email them at info@wortleyhall.org.uk. Online bookings through their website have not been released yet to ensure rooms aren't booked out by others. To receive this rate you must book at least 2 month before the arrival date. Wortley Hall do not block book or hold bedrooms.

Dining at Wortley Hall

Enjoy contemporary British cuisine at Wortley Hall, where seasonal menus feature locally sourced or organically grown produce, offering the very best of Yorkshire on a plate in a stately and picturesque setting. For guests staying on-site, the Wortley Hall Bar & Restaurant is the perfect place to unwind. It offers a wide selection of real ales, an extensive gin list, and a carefully curated wine selection, all paired with delicious, fresh, locally sourced seasonal dishes. The restaurant is open from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday to Saturday, and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sundays. For something extra special, indulge in Afternoon Tea, served daily from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Choose from a traditional Cream Tea or a full Afternoon Tea with the option to add Prosecco or Pimms. Please give 24 hours' notice for Afternoon Tea bookings. From April to September, The Hatch is open daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, offering food and drinks on the terrace—ideal for garden explorers and dog walkers.
