200% YES! If you're able to, we highly encourage you to extend your visit for a few days before or after our wedding weekend. Summer in the PNW is hard to beat and there's way more to see and do than can be crammed into one weekend that's sprinkled with spare time. We're quite sure you won't regret it!
Wear whatever makes you feel festive! The ceremony is outdoors (grass, gravel, and sunshine) and the reception has both indoor (with A/C!) & outdoor space. Summer weather here *typically* isn't as hot or humid as you might be used to, but we recommend something cool and comfortable nonetheless. The dress code is “fun!” — so full suits, heels, and other more formal fancies are not necessary — but you do you! Bright colors are encouraged if ya dig. Accessories are welcome!
Our reception (dancing!) ends around 9:45pm on Saturday — so we anticipated wanting to keep spending time with everyone while realizing we might not have enough steam to relocate! We decided to throw Moonstruck up on the venue's projector, and whether you pull up a chair to sit and watch or just feel like hanging out around the fire pit / venue grounds, the bar will be open and we'll have popcorn, cheese balls, and 50 pounds of candy to eat over the following 2 hours.
All spaces for the events on Friday and Saturday are ADA accessible. Sunday's breakfast meet-up at Laurelhurst Park does not meet all required ADA criteria, but can be reached by a short walk or with use of a wheelchair. If there are other considerations that would support your access to our events or you have any questions, please let us know.
You don't "need" a car, but we do recommend renting one for at least a day so you can pop east 30 minutes to the Gorge or west 90 minutes to the coast to see some epic nature! Otherwise, because everything is so close here, rides from Lyft and other rideshares are usually pretty quick, easy, and inexpensive. Public transportation is also an option for getting around.
They do! Level Brewery & Beer Garden (Friday) has a dedicated asphalt parking lot. Rossi Farms (Saturday) has a dedicated gravel/grass parking area. Laurelhurst Park (Sunday) has ample street parking. For Picnic Site A, you can map to SE 35th Ave and SE Oak St and park to enter there.
Kids are not required! But they are welcome at all events and will probably have a good time? Totally your preference for whether or not you want to bring them along. If they do plan to join the fun, just be sure to mark them as attending in your RSVP. Friday at Level Brewery + Beer Garden is in a reserved space that is indoor/outdoor with a grass lawn. The wedding ceremony & reception will have music, games, picnic blankets, and goats/turkeys who we're told enjoy lettuce. We also have 2 little historic houses on the property for the day, so if someone needs a nap or just a break from the festivities, you're more than welcome to hangout there. Sunday's breakfast is at a local park that has lots of open space, a playground, and a small lake with resident ducks.
While our hearts always say the more the merrier, at this time we humbly request that event attendees be kept to those addressed on your invitation. Between our families (we have 8 siblings combined!) and 3.5 decades worth of friendships, our guest list is at maximum capacity. Should you feel like we forgot someone important, please do reach out! We're happy to keep an If Anything Changes List and update you accordingly.
