We're getting married!

It all started at a chilly hockey rink. She was the little girl chasing a boy around while their siblings skated on the ice. That boy would become a familiar face through the years — they attended the same elementary, middle, and high school, even sharing a close friend group in high school. But despite all the shared memories and milestones, a romantic connection never sparked... not yet, at least. Fast forward six years after graduation: they bumped into each other at a mutual friend's wedding. What started as friendly conversation turned into something more — even with hundreds of miles between them. She was off to grad school, and he stayed in North Dakota. A year of long-distance later, she moved to Washington, and they continued to make it work, navigating time zones and visits, phone calls and FaceTimes. Then, on November 9th, 2024, during a hike in Washington while he was visiting, he got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. From childhood memories at the hockey rink to building a life together across states, their story has been years in the making — and the best part is just beginning.
