The Pinball Capital

The Pinball Capital

3200 West Le Moyne Street, Stone Park, IL 60165

If you know anything about Ryan and I, its that we LOVE pinball! Check out this awesome new location that just opened this past April while you're near the airport. The Pinball Capital has over 100+ pinball machines from all eras that are maintained and taken care of by a great staff! Its $20 to get in the door and everything is on free play.

Shedd Aquarium

Shedd Aquarium

1200 South DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60605

The Shedd is one of the best aquariums in the US, but dont take our word for it. This is one of the first dates Ryan and I did when I came and visited him in Chicago. It has been constantly changing as they are in the middle of a 10 year renovation plan to make the aquarium even better. The Lincoln Park Zoo is also close to here and is FREE. Its a fun little zoo nestled in the middle of the city. The green herons might even be there for you to say hi to as Emily and I like to do.

The Art Institute of Chicago

The Art Institute of Chicago

111 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60603

The Art Institute was where I took Ryan to see Hokusai's The Great Wave. He was so excited and we ended up only seeing about 1/3 of the museum. Highly recommend spending a whole day here. The Field Museum is next door and has tons of bugs and Pokemon! This year, Pokemon is doing a fossil archeology exhibit right here in Chicago.

Southern Belle's

Southern Belle's

210 South Cook Street, Barrington, IL 60010

Whenever we want a good breakfast place to take all of our friends, we immediately suggest Southern Belles. Not only is the food delicious, but its inexpensive and you get a TON! We discovered this spot after sleeping in too late to go to a different breakfast restaurant who shall not be named because its "dead" to us

Pequod's Pizza

Pequod's Pizza

8520 Fernald Avenue, Morton Grove, IL 60053

Obviously when in Chicago, you have to try deep dish pizza. Our personal favorite is Pequod's. The crust is nice and thick and cheesy. We recommend extra cheese and pepperoni. There is another location downtown if you find you find yourself downtown at any point. Burt's; another deep dish place is right around the corner. Bre personally likes Burts for the butter crust and fresh tomatoes in the sauce. We recommend adding their homemade sausage and sitting outside to enjoy the atmosphere.

Johnnie's Beef

1935 South Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005

Another Chicago favorite; Italian beef! "This is the closest we have to philly cheesesteaks without the cheese" - Ryan
