Ashonti and Marc have been friends since 4th grade and never had any fall off moments. Brothers from another mother starting in Henderson have had too many classic moments to count. When Marc returned from overseas, Ashonti referred him to a position at Xerox where he met Brittany. Ashonti knows this was a blessing from God because it's what Marc has always wanted. He is excited to be the best man in the wedding and see Marc's dreams come true. Ashonti loves his God daughter Malaya and knows she and his daughter Ariah will have the same tight bond that he does with Marc.

After 10-20 shared Biology classes, graduating from NCCU side by side, and developing 8 years of a strong friendship, Kimri had no choice but to be right by Brittany's side at this wedding. The union of her friend and Marc mean so much to her and she is thrilled to be the Maid of Honor. Kimri lives in Charlotte with her dog Dallas, currently in nursing school, and loves to be Malaya's Titi!

As a groomsmen, Tommy and Marc were both born and raised in Henderson and grew to be very close friends into adulthood. Tommy has always been the life of the party as a funny and outgoing person but has been the short one out of the trio with Marc and James but he wouldn't have it any other way. For Tommy, his friendship with Marc has become that of a brother and he is very happy to be apart of this special day to witness his friend marry the love of his life.

DaShaun Younger

Brittany and DaShaun began their friendship 22 years ago. Softball brought them together but sleepovers, cheerleading, and graduating high school kept them friends. They've had so many memories together and the longest standing friendship. They're best friends in every sense of the word with memories to cherish forever. DaShaun couldn't have asked for a better life or a better man for Brittany and she is so honored to be apart of the union and add more memories to the friendship! DaShaun loves Marc and Brittany and is so excited for their special day.

As the Bride's younger brother, 'Chuckie' couldn't be more thrilled to be apart of this union as a groomsmen. He cannot recall his first time meeting Marc, but there is nothing distasteful he can say about him. After these past few years, he can clearly recall the consistency in which he not only shows love for Brittany and his niece Malaya, but Marc exemplifies his love for who Brittany and Malaya are going to be. As the little brother, he is proud to see Marc and Brittany embody all that he perceives love to be at every given moment. Chuckie hopes that they embody it this lifetime, the next, and past the pearly gates. The brother plans to be silent when the Pastor asks "Speak now, or forever hold your Peace."

Shenara, 'Tootie', is Marc's oldest sister. She is very proud of the man that her brother has grown to become. Although she never would've imagined he'd find a life partner this soon, she couldn't imagine anyone better than Brittany. She's an amazing lover, friend, mother and intelligent woman. She is so happy to have gained her as a sister.

James and Marc have been friends for over 10 years and since day one, James has considered Marc one of the few to call a brother. He looks up to Marc and he knew it was only a matter of time before he found the love of his life. James believes Brittany is Marc's better half even though she's an eagle and graduated from that school in Durham lol. James wishes his friends nothing but the best in life and is so happy to stand by Marc on his special day.

Melissa Davis

Melissa met Brittany in the summer of 2011 in Baynes Hall at NCCU where they both were residential assistants. The two also learned later that they were in the same calculus class that summer and had no choice but to build a bond that turned into a lifelong friendship. Over the years, Brittany has been a support system for Melissa and now she cannot wait to support her and stand by her side during this beautiful union with the love of her life.

Tony is Marc's cousin and even though there are some years between them they have very memorable moments. Marc will be the best man in Tony's wedding so that says plenty about their relationship. He wishes Marc and Brittany nothing but the best and knows there are great things for their future.

Shakira has been a long-time friend of Marc's since high school but has become very close to Brittany. Affectionately, she calls them both 'bestie' and has built a tight bond with the soon to be Boyd family. Originally from New York, Shakira is the cool, calm, and collected friend always there to support Brittany and Marc through their live's endeavors and she is so grateful to witness this union occur.

Aletheia and Brittany have been terrific friends since that first day in Bio 100. NCCU brought them together but their spunky personalities will keep them life-long friends. Aletheia is so happy to stand behind Brittany as she marries Marc and cannot wait to be apart of their big day!

When Myosha first met Brittany they instantly became friends. It was as if they had known each other all of their lives. Their friendship began in a Cellular Biology class at North Carolina Central University building a bond through labs, study groups, and holding each other accountable on assignments. If Myosha gives you a nickname its because she loves you deeply. Affectionately, Brittany was dubbed the name Biscuit and Lightskin since she is a ray of sunshine Myosha can't ever get rid of. It may seem as though they are friends to each other but this sisterhood began as a bond between science geeks. Myosha is so happy Brittany has said yes to her new-found brother Marc and cannot wait til the big day!

As a long-term friend to both Brittany and Marc, Brandon is so excited to witness two people unite in holy matrimony. Over the years, Brandon has developed a sibling-like friendship with Brittany and he believes there is no better suitor for her than Marcquette. The love he has witnessed them share serves as an inspiration to other couples. Brandon has seen them showcase how to achieve academic goals, be great parents, and individually build steps to a perfect union together. Rachel Oladele

In 2010, Rachel took a job at NCCU to run Ruffin Residence Hall, and little did she know that came with a lifelong friendship with Brittany. Rachel served as Brittany's supervisor for one year, and then the two continued to stay in touch as mentor/mentee for many years. That relationship has continued and grown stronger every day into a friendship that Rachel cherishes dearly. Brittany was a witness for Rachel's marriage in 2017, and Rachel and Sesan love nothing more than weekends hanging out with Brittany, Marc, and Malaya. Rachel is honored to be apart of this special day and serve as the ringmaster to make this special day everything they wish. Rachel lives in Winston-Salem, NC with her husband and their puppy/baby Duffy.

Amber is Marc's youngest sister. She loves her brother but like most siblings, she feels he can be annoying at times. With that thought aside, she wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. Amber is excited to have Brittany as a new sister but she is so very happy that her brother has found a woman who cares about his goals and supports him with his dreams.

For Calaya, Brittany is the big sister she never got to have and she was always attached to her hip - wherever there was Brittany, Calaya was by her side. It is unbelievable that the day has come she gets to witness this union but it makes sense considering Brittany has become a mom. Calaya loves Marc for loving Brittany and Malaya. So much so that he is apart of her family just as much as Brittany. Calaya is grateful to be in the wedding even though she was never really asked but she is also not surprised since she is her little sister. Calaya loves Brittany and her little family and can't wait to see all the big things coming up.

Jayda is a younger cousin of Brittany's, and Jayda has been attached for as long as she can remember. Since Jayda was a young child, she has watched Brittany go through all of her life milestones of graduations, homecomings, prom, and cheerleading competitions. Now that Brittany is all grown up, Jayda gets to see her get married to someone she cares about and vice versa for Marc. Jayda cannot wait to see how successful their future will be.

Jadyn is Marc's oldest nephew. He will be helping his uncle during the ceremony by doing the honor of carrying the rings for him and his new aunt Brittany.

James Perry is the bride's grandfather. He has a personal, spiritual, and mentoring relationship with both Brittany and Marc. With that, he is going to honor these nuptials by presiding over the ceremony and marrying the couple.
