This love story is one that has taken time, progress, commitment, courage, and love. When Brittany got the assignment to move her seat at work to be next to Marc, she was not willing. She did not know who this guy was. Brittany is used to talking and chatting and having a great time but Marc's initial aura didn't give that same energy. He seemed arrogant but hindsight is that's the soldier in him. He did not talk much and she is an outspoken woman. After a couple weeks of talking about music, movies, and short term goals, Brittany began to see Marc in a different light. They decided to go see the premier of the Best Man Holiday and Brittany arranged to get the tickets. Of course, she lost track of time, and the initial theater was sold out. Marc drove from Raleigh, to Henderson, to North Hills, and then to Durham just to see this movie with her. After it was over, he still drove back to Henderson. It made Brittany realize that spending time with her was important for him and when Marc says he will do something, he means it. Even more so that he is willing to do whatever he must to get it done. Brittany knew how deeply in like she was with Marc after the movie. A week after that they were back at work and she needed milk for her cereal. His shift was after hers so she had been waiting for him to arrive. He parked, came in the building, sat in his seat. Brittany told him that she needed the milk, and he got up and left and got it for her. No questions asked. It was at that moment Brittany realized she was falling in love. It’s amazing what a work cubicle and a movie and a bottle of milk will do. After 4 years of building their lives together, they have raised their daughter Malaya, achieved higher levels of education, and built a foundation for how they will live while inspiring their friends and family around them. With all the love and support surrounding them both, they cannot wait to spend the rest of their lives together.
