New York
New York City is approximately a 2 hour drive from Stroudsburg. Either drive in and park in one of the many garages, or you can take the bus or New Jersey transit. For specific activity recommendations in NYC, ask the bride and groom!
Philadelphia
Philadelphia, the USA's first capital, the home of Rocky and the Liberty Bell, aka the "City of Brotherly Love", is approximately a 2 hour drive away, or you can take the bus. Go to Philly for cheesesteaks, a relaxed city vibe, and plenty of history about the founding of the country. Definitely hit up Redding Terminal Market for Philadelphia classic foods as well as more exotic options, and (Jake's favorite) a 64 oz growler of beer! For individual recommendations in Philly, ask the bride and groom!
Delaware Water Gap
The area surrounding Stroudsburg, the Pocono Mountains and Delaware Water Gap, are famous for hiking and natural beauty. Explore any one of these trails in the ancient Appalachian Mountains for a fun and refreshing outdoors experience.
Main Street
For a piece of small town Americana, visit Main Street Stroudsburg. Explore the "high street" of this small town which has great breweries (and a meadery), restaurants, and shops to explore. Personal favorites include Renegade Winery, Floods bar (try the broccoli cheddar bites and the wings), and Sarah Street Grill.
Pocono Pub
This pub is the home of both Jake's and Erika's favorite wings of all time. Seriously, I don't think that we've tried anything on the menu other than the wings. For Erika's favorite, start with a Pocono Cream Soda (alcoholic), raspberry zing and McHale wings. For Jake's favorite, grab a pint of your favorite beer, ginger sesame and bourbon BBQ wings. We're sure the other food is great too!
Sorrenti Family Estate Winery, Distillery & Pizzeria
This area of the Poconos has many surrounding wineries with beautiful landscaping, delicious foods, and of course - wine! Sorrenti is one of Erika's favorites. Try their craft pizza and house sweet white if you'd like her favorite combo, or explore one of the other many wineries in the area!
