Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little humans, this is an adults only weekend. Thanks for understanding!

Question

Are dogs welcome?

Answer

Sure, but we encourage you to leave your furry family at home. We want our guests to roam wild and unencumbered but not their dogs...Dogs are not allowed on McCabe beach and must be on a 6 ft. leash at all times. No dogs in a swimming area.

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

Tent Sleeping bags Sleeping pads Headlamps or flashlights Camp chairs Mugs/cups Reusable water bottle Sunscreen Insect repellent & of course any luxuries you might want/need! We encourage you not to buy any gear for this event. Please borrow equipment from friends and family.

Question

Anything else I should know?

Answer

Please follow all LEAVE NO TRACE principles. Special emphasis will be placed on the Leave What You Find principal. Do not collect artifacts or tamper with cultural resources. Campsites will remain free of loose trash. Bags of trash will be hauled to the established trash receptacles. Recyclable material must be sorted out from regular trash and contained in separate bags/containers. The maximum number of people staying overnight will not exceed 16 people per campsite. Tents must be within the boundaries of the site, or immediately adjacent to the site. No tents on beach. No GLASS bottles on beach. The regulation reads, “No person shall possess any glass beverage container within one quarter mile of each side of the Merced River.” Carpooling is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. The river will be high, please exercise CAUTION.
