The Cliff Walk
This 3.5 mile long Cliff Walk includes breathtaking views of the ocean and the mansions! We recommend stopping by, even if only for a portion of the walk. For those wanting to do the whole thing, we recommend sneakers!
Newport Jazz Festival
For those looking to have a memorable Newport weekend, the 2024 Jazz Festival coincides with our wedding weekend, making it a wonderful opportunity for those who plan to stay for a long weekend to attend on Sunday and keep the fun going!
The Lawn Terrace at Castle Hill Inn
A wonderful place to visit for a cocktail or some appetizers. We recommend sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the lawn for some of the best views of Newport - including a lighthouse! Fun fact - we took our engagement photos here :)
Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge
One of our favorite spots to go on an easy trail walk or run. Beautiful views of the ocean, including elevated observation platforms, as well as plentiful bird watching opportunities.
Ocean Drive
For those with a car, we highly recommend this 10 mile drive to see breathtaking views of the natural beauties of Newport paired with incredible mansion views.
Anthony's Seafood
For the full Rhode Island experience, Anthony's is a must. As seen on DDD with Guy Fieri, this spot has all the RI seafood classics - stuffies (stuffed quahog clams), clam chowder, and clam cakes (pro tip - dunk the clam cakes in your chowder).
Wally's Wieners
Looking for a quick lunch or some late night eats (open until 1AM on weekends)? Wally's Wieners is the perfect spot to enjoy "weenies and martini's" (yes, they have merch). They also have the best espresso martini in Newport. And of course, there are vegetarian options!
The Food Shack
Our absolute favorite burrito spot with a super cool "surf's up" type vibe. The spicy veggie bomb burrito is unbeatable!
The Nitro Bar
We cannot live without coffee. If you feel the same, try one of Nitro Bar's two downtown locations for a unique hand-crafted kickstart to your day.
Custom House Coffee
About 10 minutes from downtown Newport, Custom House is our favorite coffee shop. Fun fact - if you bring a unique or antique coffee can in, you can trade it for a bag of beans.
Malt
Great local spot for food and cocktails on Broadway. Huge plus is that they take reservations!
Corner Café
Great BYOB spot for any meal of the day. They serve breakfast all day and have options for everyone.
Cru Cafe
Awesome spot to grab breakfast or lunch and check out the Tennis Hall of Fame afterwards. Also BYOB and offers breakfast all day!
