Contrary to popular belief, the couple first met when Heather attended the Foschi triplets' birthday party in kindergarten. However, they really got to know one another as they entered their roles as student body president and treasurer in high school; where Michael would spend most of his time sneaking Heather notes during meetings. The initial spark between the two grew from there when they became co-captains of the track & field team and spent a lot more time together. After a prom-proposal on the track, the rest was history. In true best friends-to-lovers fashion, the two have been inseparable ever since.
These high school sweethearts have been together nearly a decade, growing side by side through all of life's stages. After graduating high school, Michael headed off to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, and Heather to Fairfield University in Connecticut. Followed by grad school and working full time, the two have always found a way to continue flourishing together. Their love has transcended through distance and time, making the love they feel for one another that much stronger. In 2020, Michael got stationed in New Bern, NC, which soon became the first place the two moved in together and soon after, the place they called home. Exploring a new place together and becoming part of a new community was a highlight for the couple. In 2023, the two took a trip to Connecticut to visit family, which ended with the surprise of a lifetime. With a surprise beach proposal, Michael got down on one knee and asked Heather for forever, a moment the two will cherish always. Shortly after, the couple moved to Newport, Rhode Island, where they spend most of their time swimming at the beach, bird watching, running around town, and searching for Rhode Island's best cup of chowder. And of course, planning their dream wedding!
