Of course there is. The open bar will be from 6pm to 8pm. After 8pm it will be a cash bar.

We are having BBQ pulled pork and brisket, with mashed potatoes, mac n' cheese, buttered corn, and dinner rolls.

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for this event is semi-formal. Keep in mind the ceremony will be taking place outside and the reception is inside a barn.

Where should I park?

There will be plenty of parking at the wedding/reception venue.

What do I do when I arrive?

Answer

After you park, simply walk to the back of the barn where the outdoor wedding will be set up, pick your seat and wait for the festivities to begin.

Can I sit with {insert name here}?

Answer

We will not have a seating chart or assigned seating for the entirety of the day. You are welcome to sit with whomever you choose during the wedding as well as the reception.

Is this a kid friendly wedding?

There will be a select few children allowed at the wedding/reception and they will be notified accordingly. Please address the invitation if you are unsure.

What should I do with my wedding gift or card?

Answer

There will NOT be a bridal shower leading up to the wedding. Cash is strongly encouraged over gifts. There will be a designated spot for wedding gifts and cards the day of at the venue. You can also send them in advance to 7076 N. 225 W. Thorntown, IN 46071 addressed to Jeff Pursel.

What time does the reception end?

The reception will end promptly at 11pm. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay at the JLH Wedding Barn.

On the travel page you will find our recommendations for hotels but there are certainly other options as well.

Is there anything I need to bring with me?

You are welcome to bring a change of clothes (more casual) to slip into as the night goes on.

Is this an outdoor wedding?

Answer

Yes, however the reception will be inside an enclosed barn with the option partaking in lawn games and a bonfire outside. Additionally, the dance floor will also be outside on a large patio.

Plum purple will be the primary color with various shades of green as an accent.
