Ashley Weaver and Jeff Pursel meet on March 25th (Jeff’s birthday) of 2019. Ashley was in California for a business trip and Jeff was also in California for a carpentry competition, which coincidentally both were being held in the same convention center. Despite the 4,000 other people that filled this very same convention center these two kept bumping into each other as if it was fate. After a week in California the two parted ways; Ashley went back to Michigan and Jeff went back to Georgia. Two weeks later Jeff made the 12 hour drive from Alpharetta, GA to Shelby Township, MI to take Ashley to dinner and a movie (she must have left some impression). They have been the perfect pair ever since. For a year, they worked hard to make their long distance relationship flourish. Flying back and forth between Michigan and Georgia and meeting in the middle (Jeff's hometown) for a long weekend when they could. Finally, they decided to pack their bags and travel the world together side by side no matter what it took.

While vacationing in San Antonio, TX, Ashley and Jeff were exploring the river walk downtown, when Jeff insisted we stop at one more bar...while Ashley was off getting them drinks Jeff sat down next to an awfully sweet younger couple (complete strangers) and asked if they would help him out. As soon as Ashley retuned to the table, Jeff asked her to marry him! She initially asked if he was kidding and then proceeded to put the ring on the wrong hand. Once Ashley said yes the live band started playing “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain and they slow danced the night away.
