Maid of Honor
Amanda has been Madison's touchstone, grounding point, and fiercest supporter since the sixth grade, when they were partnered for an upcoming competition. They were tasked to build a structure able to withstand an earth quake simulation out of food items found in the kitchen. They won the science contest (is anyone surprised?), and have been sister-ish ever since. Their friendship remained constant through years of long distance, and now they work together in the same building, 6 feet apart. Please contact Amanda for any last minute questions on the big day. Chris Nelson
Best Man
Chris is Nick’s one and only brother. Many siblings seem to squabble and fight a lot; that’s not the case with Nick and Chris, they are best friends. Until recently, Chris followed Nick’s footsteps in many regards(Nick was the experimental child after all); They both went to community college, finished degrees online, worked as construction estimators, worked for two of the same construction companies, moved back to OC, lived at the same apartment building, build/play PC games, enjoy Chipotle, and have epic beards. When they are in the same town, they enjoy tearing into a charcuterie board over fine wine. Warning, if he says “oh, wow” to you, it’s his only way of saying he isn’t impressed.
Emily Giese

Emily and Madison met in Bellingham, where their boss had to separate them because of their constant shenanigans. Since then, they have attended four cat shows, and maintained a long distance friendship from Bellingham to Seattle with their weekly walkie talkie dates. Emily loves snacks from other countries, spicy mustard, and her two cats Pasta and Tater.
Ryan Nelson

Ryan is Nick and Chris’s cousin. Throughout the years, Nick, Ryan, and Chris became close friends over many family get togethers to survive the intense boredom experienced by children at those sort of events. It goes without saying, Ryan is the definition of a committed Disney man. If you want to know anything about Disney, he is your man.
Madalyn Taylor
Bridesmaid
Madalyn has been a part of Madison's family for eleven years, and officially became Madison's sister in-law in 2017. They are both big fans of the classic family vacation, and have enjoyed travel adventures such as Thunder Down Under in Las Vegas, playing poker in the Olympic National Forest, and slurping on slushies in California Adventure.
Anthony Drake
Groomsman
Anthony, or as he was known in high school, Drake, is one of Nick’s best friends from high school. Nick and Drake became quick friends in high school attempting to master the most difficult co-op missions in CoD Modern Warfare(Video Game) and scrounging together coins to buy 2 for $1 tacos at Jack in the Box. For many years following high school, including when they lived together in Huntington Beach, they would frequently surf the Wedge in Newport Beach and bike the OC coast together. Although he doesn’t admit it as much as he should, Drake is a gifted photographer. As Chris likes to say, “Drake would do anything for a [photography] shot.”
Katy Brown

Katy has welcomed Madison into the Nelson family with open arms. She is able to take any situation and turn it into a laugh-fest with her energy and vibrance. Madison and Katy have enjoyed getting to know one another over giant bowls of pasta at Buca di Beppo, and indoor mini golf, and are both always cracking jokes. Ask Katy about her dog Tucker.
Nathan Ray

Nate is one of Nick’s best friends from high school! For a period of time, Nick and Nate lived together in Newport Beach’s Balboa Peninsula where they would surf after work together, play pool at Beach Ball, and bike the peninsula. They even attempted to become co-lead engineers for a startup company together. Over the years, they would move to various cities all over the country - although they stayed connected over online video games, Nate was the awesome friend that would come visit Nick in each city he moved to!
