It all started on an ordinary October night in 2019. Fuller and Bridgette happened to find themselves sitting side by side at the bar of Soho Saloon, both out to catch the playoff baseball game. A simple introduction — “Hi, I’m Fuller” — turned into a spark neither of them expected. Bridgette, immediately intrigued by his name (and honestly, a little curious about the guy behind it), couldn’t help but feel that this stranger was going to play some kind of role in her life. Before leaving, she confidently handed over her number — no expectations, just a feeling. As life would have it, timing had other plans. In the spring of 2020, Bridgette moved to Rochester, NY — over 1,200 miles from Tampa — in pursuit of personal growth and new career opportunities, right as the world began to shut down. With travel restrictions and uncertainty looming, staying connected wasn’t always easy, but neither of them could let go. Messages turned into daily phone calls, and daily phone calls turned into something more. Two years passed with distance between them, but they found ways to make it work — meeting up whenever they were remotely close to each other’s cities, slowly becoming part of one another’s families and lives. Eventually, they decided to stop waiting for the “perfect” timing and take a leap of faith. In 2022, Fuller moved to Rochester to start fresh — together. Not long after, on a return visit to one of their favorite places — Canandaigua Lake, the first spot Bridgette took Fuller to when he visited Rochester — everything came full circle. In the quiet of a winter walk, with the wind biting and the lake frozen still, Fuller asked Bridgette the question that would mark the start of the rest of their lives. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, many of whom traveled from near and far to be there, Bridgette said yes. Now, they’re ready to begin their next chapter — not just as best friends and adventure partners — but as husband and wife.
