6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
An evening of celebration with buffet dinner, dancing, and henna artists, if you'd like.
Attire: Afghan Clothes or Festive/Formal Afghan clothes are highly encouraged! But if that’s not possible or preferred, festive or formal attire works perfectly too. For men, traditional clothing or a suit without a jacket is great. For women, think bright, celebratory, and comfortable enough to dance! Looking for Afghan clothing stores? Here are a few of our favorites: https://www.instagram.com/shaistafashions/?hl=en https://www.shadokht.co/ https://nilicouture.com/ https://www.zacollection.com/
5:15 pm - 11:45 pm
Here’s how the magic unfolds: Ceremony begins at 5:15 PM, followed by cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from 6 to 7. Then it’s dinner, toasts, and dancing all night long—because we’ve got the floor ‘til midnight!
Attire For men: a suit and tie or tuxedo is appropriate—classic, and polished. For women: a long gown, cocktail dress, or any formal evening wear you feel great in. Elegant, comfortable, and celebration-ready is the perfect mix.
11:45 am - 3:00 pm
Come as you are. We’d love to see you there!
To wrap up the weekend, we’re hosting an optional casual Sunday brunch at TBD—complete with good food, great company, and classic DC vibes. It’s Labor Day, after all—what better way to spend it than with a little sunshine, laughter, and one last hang with the people we love?
