The Wedding Website of Waverly Celeste Thompson and David Lee Cannon

Brooke Sears

Maid of Honor

No one is more prepared for the role of Maid of Honor than Brooke. Check out her stats below: Years as Best Friend: 25+ Emergency Phone Calls Answered: 457 and counting Times as Bridesmaid: 4, possibly more Parties Planned: 34 Crafts Crafted: at least 1000 Times Mistaken for Sisters: 126 Weddings Attended: too many to count

David Haas

Best Man

David and David - aka Cannon and Haas - met in PA school and instantly became the best of friends. Pre-exam study sessions in the "bird cage" that led to post-exam happy hour drinks with the squad were the keys to sanity that led them to survive the brutal two and a half years of PA school. The most hardworking and loyal person that I know, Haas is exactly the person you want in your corner when you need someone to lean on. His wife, Amanda, and three children Brooks, Coop Dawg & Demi complete a picturesque family that are the most fun when you visit (there's nothing better than his kids calling me "Big Dave"). Now an Interventional Radiologist PA, and a retired sand soccer all-star, Haas will no doubt continue being a great friend that I was incredibly lucky to meet.

Roxy Clifton

Bridesmaid

Rox girl and Wav girl met in a college GIS class and went to every Salisbury house party together ever since. The rest of their friendship was secured on vanilla iced coffees from Dunkin, lab chill (the homework had to get done at some point), DTA adventures, and silly memes. Today their friendship continues to thrive on coffee orders and silly memes. Thank god there's no more homework!

Michael Labriola

Groomsman

The first time Michael and David met was one of those "our girlfriends are best friends so we have to go on a double date" type of situation. When coming to visit David and Waverly one evening for the first time at their apartment, Michael told Brooke (Waverly's Maid of Honor) to not leave him alone in case him and David didn't get along. Fast forward to 2:00am that same night, they realized that they had the same taste of music in pop-punk/emo (it was never a phase) and became inseparable. Countless guitar jam sessions, concert venues and DTA karaoke nights has led to a bond that I am undoubtably grateful for. You seriously wont find a more genuine person than Michael Labriola. Oh yeah, ask him about our band Loose Bricks!

Amanda Cooper

Bridesmaid

Amanda, whose pronouns are She/Her/Sally, was Waverly's college roommate. They were randomly assigned the same dorm room freshman year and were never the same since. No one knows exactly which activity earned them BFF status for life, but a few of Waverly's favorites are below: -Dorm room pizza parties (extra ranch and always on the floor) -Watching (and quoting) Marcel the Shell with Shoes On -The Dresser Incident of 2012, maybe 2013 -Barbie (iykyk)

Chris Thorn

Groomsman

"The wittiest person in the room with more dad jokes than you could imagine" is exactly how someone would describe Chris. The third of the three best friends that anyone could have in PA school, Thorn (also called by his last name) and I formed the trio with Haas immediately when we stepped on campus. His intelligence is matched only by his ability to make any situation less stressful - it's no wonder that he landed a job as a Critical Care PA at Johns Hopkins after graduation. Fiercely loyal and one hell of a friend, I can't wait to see where life takes him next .. I'm just glad that I get to ride on his coattails and call him one of my best friends. Ah, and if you're looking for a great place to eat (or a fantastic scotch recommendation) ask him and his wife, Courtney - there are no people with better taste!

Alex Pomponio

Bridesmaid

Waverly and Alex met in the 2nd or 3rd grade and continued to attend the same school through college. There were many hours, too many hours, spent in the Blackwell study rooms. If you get a chance, ask her about the finals fairy. To make your own Alex, combine the following and administer as an IV: sparkly lip gloss, hello kitty toys, fancy cocktails, anything with a butterfly on it, and a little bit of the latest gossip. Say "IV but make it cute" 3x fast, then wait. She'll show up when she wants to, but she always brings the party.

Logan Middleton

Groomsman

Oh man, where do I even begin. Logan is the oldest child of my sister, Tara, which makes him my nephew - but he is certainly more like my brother. From the day he was born, I knew that he was destined to do great things. No one, and I truly mean no one, works harder than Logan. An incredible athlete - ask me to show you the spin move he put on kids when he was 6 years old playing flag football - with too many achievements to list, his accomplishments span farther than any football field or basketball court. Stranded on the side of the road and need help? He's in the car and on the way before you hang up the phone. Need a lifting partner? He's already at the gym benching more than you could dream of doing. Logan and I have a relationship that goes deeper than just being family and there is nothing that I wouldn't do for him. Nothing makes me happier than having him stand beside me as Waverly and I get married.

Talan Middleton

Groomsman

My "mini me" - if you can call someone who is 6'3" "mini" - Talan is the youngest of my sisters children (Taylor, my niece, is the third and is just as amazing as the other two I've mentioned). An infectious personality with one of the best outlooks on life, Talan is always able to see the good in tough situations. Currently playing quarterback for his college - shoutout to the Juniata Eagles - he has the ability to put everyone around him in a better mood. From being in the mosh pit with Waverly, Michael and I at Hot Mulligan concerts to staying at our place and falling asleep while making us watch The Santa Clause 2 AND 3 (we're not sure if we'll ever forgive him for that), everything is just more fun when Talan is with you. Our wedding day wouldn't be complete without him being alongside us during it.

Tony Toma & Sean Simmons

Mids of Honor

Tony and Sean were the first midshipmen Waverly's parents sponsored from the Naval Academy after moving to their new home in Annapolis. When Celeste and Chris signed up for the sponsor program, they had no idea about Waverly. As a result, Tony and Sean met Waverly when she was only a few days old. They spent the next 4 years watching Scooby Doo, playing in the pool, and attending impromptu dance recitals at the whim of a toddler - oh and studying, too! More recently they've been able to hang out with adult-Waverly and fill-in David on all the embarrassing stories. This September, Tony and Sean will walk Waverly down the aisle as her 'Mids of Honor'.

Paul Hodapp

Officiant and Mid of Honor

Paul, another 'Mid of Honor' and dear family friend, has witnessed David and Waverly's relationship from the beginning. The couple is thankful for all the boat rides, funny youtube videos shared, and double-dinner dates downtown Annapolis with Paul and his wife, Courtney! In the 'before times' (pre-David) Paul and Waverly would watch the Fairly Odd Parents together and play Age of Empires, a video-game that Waverly now plays with David. The couple couldn't think of anyone better to marry them!
