About Jeffrey

Handsome New England Guy

Jeffrey grew up in a true "cow town" in a rural part of Connecticut. He often recounts the story of how he was late to school some mornings due to cattle crossing the road. He loves small town values and experiences, and loves the fresh country air! Jeffrey is also a die-hard Boston sports fan, he is a huge Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins fan. His only exception is for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish! Speaking of Irish... Jeffrey values his Irish heritage and roots. His favorite holiday is St. Patrick's Day and he loves attending Irish festivals and pubs. Jeffrey and Nicole look forward to visiting Ireland for the St. Patrick's Day festivities in 2022!

About Nicole

Sophisticated City Girl Turned Country

Nicole was born and raised in central Pennsylvania, but not quite a "cow town" like Jeffrey's hometown. Growing up Nicole played softball and was interested in business. While she had a fear of flying she willed herself to study abroad in London for a semester with the Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University. One of her favorite places, was Ireland! Who knew she would one day marry a man with a strong Irish heritage! A year after college, Nicole moved to the "big city" and big apple, New York City. Over Nicole's 11 years living in NYC, she took away some amazing experiences and friendships. In fact, it wasn't until Nicole moved to NYC and met her close friends Maribel and Giselle that Nicole really fell in love with travelling. Lucky for her Jeffrey loves to travel too!

How We Met

We Swiped Right!

Jeffrey was living in Connecticut and Nicole was living in New York City, when one fateful day they connected on the Bumble dating app. Due to the long distance between them, they chatted on and off, somehow staying in contact for over 6 months, until they finally had their first date. It was at a pub near Grand Central Station that happened to be a Green Bay Packer's bar during a Green Bay Packer's game. While there, Nicole won a drawing for free food and drinks until the next score change of the game. The catch was that Nicole had to wear the famed Green Bay Packer's cheesehead hat! It was a great ice breaker... As the date came to an end, Jeffrey walked Nicole down the street on that brisk September afternoon. Jeffrey gave his jacket to Nicole to keep her warm while they waited for Nicole's cab. As Nicole entered the cab, she returned the jacket back to Jeffrey and said goodbye. As Jeffrey walked away he said to himself, “Wow! She was hot! I hope I see her again.” clearly she felt the same, and the rest is history!

How He Proposed

A Garden Oasis

Jeffrey and Nicole planned a couples trip with Nicole's best friend Andrea and her husband Matt to Nashville, TN. A few days prior to the trip, Jeffrey looped in Andrea of his plan to propose to Nicole in Nashville at Cheekwood Gardens, a 55-acre botanical garden and art museum located on the historic Cheek estate. Their first day in Nashville while fun, was full of rain. The next day, the day of the planned proposal, the weather cleared by morning, with clear skies and abundant sunshine, an absolutely perfect day for a proposal! After exploring the garden for a bit, Andrea led the way to the Boxwood Garden portion of the Mansion that has a beautiful scenic overlook, where a photographer was waiting for them. At the top, overlooking the gorgeous green gardens where Jeffrey proposed. It was picture perfect! And she said yes! :)
