Question

COVID SAFETY - BEFORE ARRIVAL

Answer

We know everyone is anxious about the recent surge in the Delta variant. We are right there with you. We are working hand in hand with the camp to provide you all the safest experience possible. BEFORE ARRIVAL: As we've said from the beginning, we are requesting that all guests be vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated, we request that you provide us with a negative test result taken no more than three days prior to arriving at the camp. If you are able to go the extra step of getting tested before you arrive, even if you are vaccinated, we would appreciate that very much. You don't have to send in those results, but it would help relieve a lot of anxiety for all guests. The camp staff is also fully vaccinated. They've also managed to have a full summer of kids and counselors with no cases, so they know how to handle this!

Question

COVID SAFETY - AT THE CAMP

Answer

The camp has agreed to open up all of the cabins so that we can really spread out. We will still be putting our more mature guests in Wayne Hall which is set up like a hotel. All other guests will be in large cabins. We might reach out to a few people individually to see what they are comfortable with as far as sharing the larger cabins. All meals will be served on the open air porch of the dining hall and, weather permitting, anyone who would prefer to eat outside rather than in the dining hall will have that option. If it rains we will find a covered but outside option. All activities are outside other than the Movie Theatre. That will be open, but like all of the activities, totally up to you if you'd like to go in. The ceremony will be outside as will the reception and dancing. There's lots of room to spread out. If it rains all of the wedding events will take place under an outdoor arena that is covered but open air.

Question

THIS IS A SUMMER CAMP? LIKE WITH CABINS AND STUFF?

Answer

Yep! In selecting a facility, the comfort of our guests was at the very top of our mind. Tyler Hill Camp was originally a country club and converted to a summer camp in the 50's (think somewhere between Mrs. Maisel and Dirty Dancing). They host events year-round for children, adults, and families. You're in the hands of professionals! The cabins are neat and modern with electricity, indoor plumbing, and air conditioning. For our more mature guests, we have hotel-type rooms on the property in Wayne Hall.

Question

HOW DO I GET THERE?

Answer

Please see the travel tab above for the nearest airports. Parking for the whole weekend is at Tyler Hill Camp. When you drive through the gates a member of the THC staff will direct to the parking lot. There, they will load up you and your gear onto a golf cart and whisk you away to your accommodations. The camp is car free, so you can put your keys away and relax.

Question

ARE KIDS WELCOME?

Answer

We love all of your kids. But, we’re keeping the weekend kid-free so that you can feel free to fully engage in the Camp Hoot and Challah Experience. We hope you'll be able to make arrangements to have your sweet kiddos hang out with family or friends this weekend - so that you can embrace the adult camp experience!

Question

CAN I STAY SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN THE CAMP?

Answer

We have family and friends joining us from all over the country, so we looked high and low for a place that we could gather everyone together for a fun-filled weekend. For a variety of reasons (safety, insurance, location, bonding, etc) we request that everyone stays at the camp for the full weekend. (Plus... its the boonies, there is no where else to stay;).

Question

WHO’S IN MY CABIN AND DO I NEED A SLEEPING BAG?

Answer

They camp has agreed to open up all the cabins to give us room to spread out. You likely won't be bunking with anyone other than your partner or people in your bubble... unless you want to!
