Not at all! The send-off is for everyone. Whether you’re attending the wedding or not, you’re welcome to join us for one last celebration before heading to the beach. Please note: the send-off event is adults-only due to limited space and the venue being a brewery. Kids are welcome at the resort and at the wedding itself (see below), but this particular event will be 18+.
Yes! All guests will need a valid passport to travel. Your passport must be valid for at least six months after your trip (through October 2026) to avoid any travel issues. We recommend checking your passport now to avoid last-minute stress! If you need to apply or renew, you can start here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html
The deadline to book your room is April 13, 2026. When you book, a 30% deposit is due at the time of reservation. A second payment of 30% will be collected on March 14, 2026, and the remaining 40% will be due on April 13, 2026. While our guests will have access to discounted group pricing until this date, room availability is not guaranteed! To ensure you get the room type you want, we highly recommend booking as soon as you are able to rather than waiting until the deadline.
No. The Alexandra Resort is all-inclusive and does not allow outside guests on the property. To attend the wedding and group events, you’ll need to stay at the resort through our room block for a minimum of 4 nights (May 13,2026 - May 17, 2026).
Yes! Danielle keeps her phone on airplane mode the entire time so she doesn't get charged international fees. There is Wi-Fi at the airport and the resort, so the only time you won't have service is the 20-minute car ride from the airport to the resort. Joe turns his roaming on and pays $10/day (Verizon) to have full international phone service. Either is fine & you are welcome to choose the path that works for you.
Expect a long customs line! The airport is very small and several flights arrive at once. We've waited in the customs line anywhere from 20min to an hour depending on flight traffic. This is normal, and gives the airline attendants time to unload your checked baggage and control the flow of shuttle traffic. If you prefer not to wait, there is a Fast Track Service for $75 per person. More information here: https://www.fasttracktci.com/
As per local government regulations, airport transfers are not to be provided by hotels/resorts; however, resort-approved taxi vans run frequently between the airport and the Alexandra Resort. Since the airport is small, taxis cannot be reserved in advance - but you can expect a wait of no more than 15 minutes (often less). Simply give the shuttle attendant your resort name & number of guests, and they’ll assign you to the next available vehicle. They usually charge US$16 per person one way. Please be prepared to pay cash. VIP Private Transportation can be arranged at fee of $150.00 per way per SUV.
Before departure, let the resort know your return flight details, and they will schedule your taxi back to the airport. Please plan to use these official shuttles only. Independent drivers not affiliated with the resort network are not safe and should be avoided.
The lines to check into your flight and drop your baggage have always been quick and easy in our experience. Security moves quickly and there is no Priority lane. We recommend getting to the airport 1.5 hours before your departure time. Once past security, you'll see just how small the airport is. All 2 departure gates are on the first floor along with seating and shopping. Upstairs you'll find extra seating, restrooms, and a bar/restaurant. There is even a small outdoor balcony with table service where you can sit and watch planes take off and for your plane to arrive!
The Alexandra Resort is all-inclusive! Your stay includes all meals, snacks, and beverages plus access to the pool, lawn games, volleyball net, pickleball courts, and non-motorized water sports. You’ll also receive a $50 credit per person to use toward spa services, premium drinks, or other upgrades. Included in Your Nightly Rate: - All taxes and service charges - All meals and unlimited premium beverages - In-room fridge stocked with water, soft drinks, and beer - Stay at 1, Play at 2 – full access and complimentary shuttle between Alexandra and their sister property Blue Haven for additional dining options. - Wi-Fi throughout the resort - Complimentary bicycles for guest use - Non-motorized water sports: snorkeling, kayaks, paddle boards, sailboats, and water trampoline
The Alexandra Resort is family-friendly, and children stay free!
Yes! Kids are welcome to join us for the wedding celebration.
Yes, most resort restaurants request casual resort wear (think sundresses, skirts, capris, polo shirts, and nice shorts). Bathing suits, cover-ups, and bare feet are not permitted at dinner. A few restaurants may ask men to wear collared shirts and closed-toe shoes in the evening.
Think “Beachy Garden Party.” Light, airy fabrics, tropical colors, and semi-formal styles are perfect. For women, sundresses, flowy gowns, or dressy jumpsuits are great choices. Since our ceremony is in the sand, we recommend wedges, block heels, or dressy sandals over stilettos. For men, button-down shirts and linen pants or dress shorts work well (jackets and ties are optional). Check out our Gallery page for outfit inspiration!
The welcome dinner will be heald outside near the pool area with a backup indoor location in case of rain. The ceremony will be held on the beach, and the reception will take place outdoors on a private deck overlooking the water. A covered indoor space is attached to the reception area and will be used if needed.
No extra transportation is needed - all wedding events will take place at the Alexandra Resort.
We’ll have plenty of chances to celebrate together! On Thursday 5/14 we'll have a free day full of optional games and hang outs at the resort plus a welcome dinner for everyone that evening. On Saturday 5/16 we'll have a private sunset charter exclusively for our group. If you’d like to explore on your own, the resort also offers excursions such as snorkeling, paddleboarding, and island tours. Check out our Gallery for a full list of excursions and how to book.
Absolutely! You’re welcome to come early or stay late. Our group’s discounted room block pricing applies to additional nights based on availability.
U.S. dollars are accepted on the island, and credit cards are widely used. ATMs are available, but most guests find they don’t need much cash outside of tips or small purchases.
Tips are technically included in your all-inclusive package, but it’s customary (and very appreciated) to tip for great service. Many guests choose to tip housekeeping ($2–$5/day), bartenders ($1–$2/drink), and servers ($2–$5/meal). Small bills in U.S. dollars are best, but you can also leave one service tip on your bill at check-out to be split by the resort staff.
May in Turks & Caicos is warm and breezy with average highs in the mid-80s°F and lows in the mid-70s°F. Expect lots of sunshine with occasional quick tropical showers. It’s perfect beach weather!
Travel insurance is optional. While not required, it can provide peace of mind by covering unexpected issues such as flight delays, lost luggage, or medical needs during your trip.
Your presence in Turks & Caicos is the greatest gift we could ask for! Please don’t feel the need to bring anything. If you would still like to give, check out our Registry page.
