FAQs

Question

Do you have a registry for gifts?

Answer

We have decided not to have a traditional gift registry for our wedding. Instead of boxed gifts, we kindly request cash contributions only to help us start our new journey together. We will have a card box at our venue. If you wish to send a card, you can send to: Sean Chaudhari & Rachel Waterhouse 805 Tory Court, Schaumburg, IL 60173

Question

Can we bring a plus-one to the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that only the individuals listed on the invitation attend the wedding. We have made our guest list carefully and want to ensure an intimate celebration with our closest family and friends.

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

We understand that attending a wedding with children can sometimes be a consideration for parents. We kindly ask that you refer to your RSVP form to determine if your children are invited. We want to provide a comfortable atmosphere for all our guests. However, if you prefer to have a child-free evening and enjoy a date night, we completely understand and support your decision. Please let us know through the RSVP if you will be attending with or without your children, so we can plan accordingly and ensure everyone has a wonderful time.

Question

I would like to wear Indian clothing to the wedding, but I'm unsure of where to find it. Can you provide any recommendations?

Answer

Absolutely! Though this definitely is not required. If you're looking for Indian clothing options, we can recommend some reliable websites where you can find a beautiful selection. Check out Pernia's Pop-Up Shop, Lashkaraa, G3 Fashion, Kalki Fashion, House of Indya, and Etsy. These platforms offer a wide range of stunning Indian outfits to suit various preferences and budgets.

Question

Are there any nearby accommodation options for out-of-town guests?

Answer

Yes, we have secured a room block at the Westin Chicago Northwest in Itasca- where the reception is held, to accommodate our out-of-town guests. Details and booking information is provided on our wedding website under "Travel". Please keep in mind reservations must be made prior to July 22nd to secure the discounted rate.

Question

As an out-of-town guest, what are some other things to do in Chicago or around Itasca, Illinois?

In Chicago, you can explore famous landmarks like Millennium Park, Navy Pier, the Art Institute of Chicago, and take an architectural boat tour along the Chicago River. Question

There is a significant gap between the wedding ceremony and the reception. What are some recommendations during that time?

Answer

We understand that there may be a substantial gap between the wedding ceremony and the reception. This break allows guests to have some downtime and make necessary preparations for the evening festivities. We suggest taking this opportunity to relax and refresh. You can take a nap, if needed, or use this time to change your outfit, freshen up, and prepare for the reception.

Question

What are the details for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We appreciate your interest in joining us for our special day. However, the wedding ceremony is a private event with limited seating. We kindly ask that you refer to the RSVP and invitation details to determine if you are invited to both the ceremony and the reception or if your invitation is specifically for the reception only. We appreciate your understanding and respecting our wishes for an intimate ceremony.

Will all the events during the wedding start on time?

Answer

Yes, all the events during our wedding will start promptly as scheduled. We understand the importance of punctuality and want to create a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our guests.
