It typically includes traditional rituals such as the Baraat, where the groom and his family arrive at the venue in a grand procession, the Jaimala ceremony where the bride and groom exchange flower garlands. The main ceremony is called the Sagai or Sagun ceremony, where the couple exchanges rings, and the father of the bride gives his daughter's hand in marriage to the groom. After the Sagai, the couple takes blessings from the priest and the family members, this ritual is known as the Kanyadaan. The ceremony concludes with the Sindoor and Mangalsutra ceremony, where the groom applies Sindoor (vermilion powder) on the bride's forehead and ties a sacred thread known as the Mangalsutra around her neck. There will be a full lunch served after the ceremony.
