FAQs

If you have any questions other than what is listed here, please email washerwedding@gmail.com to receive a prompt response.
Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you have a invitation that says "And Guest", then you are able to have a date accompany you. However, if you do not, we would prefer just you to come celebrate with us. Trust us, we have thought carefully about our guest list and promise you will enjoy the company in attendance!

Question

What's the attire?

Answer

We encourage you to dress formal/semi-formal. For men, sport jackets and slacks are acceptable, but if you'd like to wear a tuxedo or suit, you are welcome to! For women, we suggest appropriate length cocktail or formal dresses or pants suits. If you have any questions regarding attire, please send all inquiries to washerwedding@gmail.com Thank you!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We have decided to extend invitations to our family members only. We respect and understand that all children are a blessing, but unfortunately, we cannot accommodate more than family as far as children are considered.

Question

Where can I stay?

Answer

There are plenty of hotels in the area! We will post our recommended hotels/inns in its own tab shortly after save the dates are sent out! We will make sure we find at least 3 different accommodations to cater to all budgets!

Question

Am I allowed to take pictures of the wedding?

Answer

As much as we love that you'd like to capture some moments, we have paid for a professional to photograph and record our special day for us! We request guests refrain from using cellphones or taking photos during the ceremony. However, our reception will be very mobile phone friendly! (We ask you tag your social media pictures with #washerwizardingwedding or #AmygetstheW and that you take advantage of our Snapchat Geofilter as well as selfie op)

Question

COVID-19? What's going on with that?

Answer

Here in Kentucky (thankfully) we will be having the wedding as scheduled. John and Amy prefer to not wear masks (since they are not mandatory), but if you would like to take extra precautions, we encourage you to bring your preferred personal protecting equipment (PPE). We will have hand sanitizing stations and a "COVID CAUTIOUS" station that will have disposable masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer for those who would like to utilize it.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is limited parking at the venue for vendors only, but there is a free parking lot at the nearby school for guests.
