The Proposal

We know you're dying to ask!

Before I get into this story, I should inform you that John and I are huge FRIENDS fans. In fact, a lot of our casual hang outs in the beginning revolved around watching the series on Netflix. Our first dinner together, we spent the whole night and even closed the restaurant down quizzing each other on FRIENDS trivia. We challenged each other as to who was the bigger fan. Thus beginning our little love story. FLASH FORWARD to "the night", John was working late. I was watching TV and waiting up for him, as I try to do as often as I can. Then the phone rings. IT'S JOHN :) He calls to basically complain about his work, and being the good girlfriend I was, I listened (kind of) and shared my advice. Well, long story short. It backfired a bit and we argued about his terrible job. I wasn't too concerned because, well, his job is awful. Then about 30 minutes later, John walks in the door. I'm unsure if he's in a good mood or bad one since last we talked on the phone didn't end well. "Well Amy I've been thinking...." Oh no. That's never good. "I want you to be my lobster forever." He is kneeling now in front of me. "WHAT?! NO WAY!! You've got to be joking!!" I blurt out. "Are you kidding? This is a joke" I say to him. But it wasn't. 'So what are you saying?" John asked, kind of thrown from my reaction. "YES! Of course YES!" We got engaged so late at night, I had to wait until the next morning to share with my family and friends. (Which was TORTURE) But I can't imagine anyone else I'd rather have as my Lobster. I'd love to grow old with you, John, with our claws locked, walking around the tank together.

For all the days along the way
