When should I RSVP by?

Semi-formal and formal preferred. No tuxes required! Colors encouraged.

We would love to celebrate with the whole world but we don't want to cut into our champagne budget. Every guest will have received an invite.

We love kids, but are choosing to celebrate our day without them!

What's the best way to get to and from the airport?

Answer

The Portland airport is pretty straight forward (minus a little construction) and it should be easy to get to the ride share pickup. Taxis tend to be the more expensive option.

Should I rent a car or use ride share apps for the weekend?

Answer

If you're planning on staying at McMenamins Edgefield, we will provide transportation to and from the wedding ceremony and reception. If you prefer to rent a car and spend some time exploring Portland, there is free parking on-site at the hotel. Ride share apps are also available.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We plan on hosting the welcome dinner and other activities at McMenamins Edgefield and would love to have all of our friends stay on-site, if possible! Additional hotel recommendations can be found on the travel page.

I'm not staying at McMenamins Edgefield. How should I plan to get to the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We recommend taking a ride share to the ceremony at Scouter's Mountain Nature Park since there is limited, unreserved parking (25-30 spaces). We will have buses ready to transport guests from the ceremony to the reception/after-party at WonderLove. If you prefer to drive yourself to the ceremony and the reception at WonderLove, there is street parking nearby and parking lots located 2 blocks away from the venue between Salmon Street and Madison Street on SE Water Ave.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 4PM. Please arrive by 3:45 at the latest. Parking is limited to 25 spaces in the upper lot and about 5 spaces in the lower parking lot. There is also a short 3-minute walk from the upper parking lot where buses and ride share apps should drop off guests.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony at Scouters Mountain?

Answer

We will be scheduling a bus that will pick up guests at McMenamins Edgefield to bring them to the ceremony. Guests not staying at Edgefield are welcome to meet there if they are staying nearby. Please make sure you RSVP for the buses. If you are staying at one of the recommended hotels in Portland, you're a quick 5-minute drive away and encouraged to utilize ride share apps. Ditto for my Portland locals! Parking is limited in the upper parking lot at Scouters Mountain to 25 spaces. There are 2 ADA parking spots at the top of the hill next to the ceremony location as well. The entrance to the park will get locked at 7PM if you decide to leave your car there. You've been warned!

Is there parking for the ceremony at Scouters Mountain?

Answer

Parking is open to the public: There are 25 spaces open upper parking lot and 5-6 spots in the lower parking lot by the park entrance. You could park at the bottom but it's a 1.2 mile hike to the top. I definitely would not recommend doing that in heels! There are 2 ADA parking spots at the top of the hill next to the ceremony location as well. The entrance to the park will get locked at 7PM if you decide to leave your car in the upper lot. You've been warned!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will do our best to accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions. The wedding reception will feature 10 food carts that a guest can choose from for dinner and we will work with them on communicating potential allergens in their food. If you have a food allergy, please let us know.
