JD's Smokehouse

With some of the best barbeque we have ever had, JD's is an absolute must when visiting the area! There are two locations, but we personally recommend the one in Rutherford College. JD's is open Thursday-Saturday every week!

City Walk Brewing & Distilling

One of our absolute favorite spots in Hickory, this brewery is walkable from downtown Hickory and is a great spot for all ages!
Oktoberfest at Sugar Mountain

Head up to Sugar Mountain, outside Boone (just over an hour from the venue site) for their yearly Oktoberfest, taking place the full weekend you are in town!
