The Wedding Website of Joy Wang and Eric Wang
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by Thursday May 1, 2025 so that we can have an accurate headcount.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To maintain a small intimate atmosphere, we are only allowing our friends and family in established relationships to bring plus ones. Your invitation will specify the name of your significant other if they are invited.

Question

Are kids or pets welcome?

Answer

We adore your little ones, but for our wedding, we kindly request an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives you an opportunity to enjoy the evening with us! Thank you for understanding.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Seattle in early June is mild, with temperatures typically ranging from 55°F to 70°F (13°C to 21°C). While we’re hoping for beautiful weather, early June can still bring some clouds or light drizzle. One of the perks of a June wedding in Seattle is the extended daylight hours —the sun won’t set until nearly 9 PM, giving us plenty of time to celebrate under the evening sky!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our celebration is planned to take place outdoors, surrounded by the beautiful scenery. In case of rain, we have a lovely indoor space as a backup.

Question

What do you recommend for transportation/parking at the venue?

Answer

You are welcome to drive and park at the venue. There is a valet available starting at 6PM to help facilitate parking as it's a small space and only up to 16 cars can be parked. We highly encourage carpooling and/or using Uber/Lyft so that you can enjoy the evening and get back safely! We will be providing Uber/Lyft vouchers for the event; check "Travel" page for more information.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our dress code is *black tie optional*. This means tuxedos and floor-length gowns are welcome, but a dark suit or a formal cocktail dress is also appropriate. We’d love for our guests to dress up and celebrate in style with us! We recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl for the evening in case it gets chilly.

Question

Can we take photos with our phones?

Answer

We’ll be having an *unplugged ceremony*, so we kindly ask that you please keep phones and cameras away during the ceremony to be fully present with us. Once the ceremony is over, we would *love* for you to take photos and share them with the group! We will share professional photos after the wedding should you want any.

Question

Will food be served?

Answer

YES - you know that food is one of Eric & Joy's top priorities! We will have a cocktail hour at after the ceremony with hor d'oeuvres and a full dinner during the reception. Please indicate your dinner preference on your RSVP.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Heck yeah! Please let us know of any song requests you have when you RSVP.

Question

What should/could I do between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

You don't want to miss our cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception - so please stay at the wedding venue during that time!

Question

Will Tchai be at the wedding?

Answer

As much as we’d love to have Tchai there, we’ve decided it’s best for him to sit this one out, with all the excitement of the day and a large crowd. He will be spoiled elsewhere with plenty of play time and his own wedding day feast.

Question

Who should I reach out to with any questions?

Answer

Please reach out to Eric & Joy via email: wang.in.there@gmail.com.
