Denise is from the bay, and Daniel has worked in San Francisco. If you are flying into San Francisco and/or have never explored the area, please checkout some of the following places: - Pier 39 - Alcatraz Island - Golden Gate Bridge/Park - SF MOMA - Palace of Fine Arts (This is where Daniel proposed to Denise!) La Note
This is one of Denise's top 5 favorite brunch places ever! She started going here since college and still makes the drive out to frequently and taken Daniel and many friends there. Her favorite dishes are the following 2: - lemon gingerbread pancakes poached pears - baguette a la merguez
House of Prime Rib
Denise took Daniel to House of Prime Rib (HOPR) and became his favorite restaurant in the bay. He has been trying to book a reservation to this place, but it requires months of planning in advance to get a good time. Please try it and rave with him about it! Better yet, invite Daniel to go! P.S. This is Truffy's top 5 favorite places too! He waits by the trashcan just from the smell of the finished leftovers.
Grégoire Restaurant
If you want something to take to go, this takeout gourmet sandwich shop is the place to hit up! The menu is always seasonal and changing, and brings Denise back again and again to try different items since college.
Truewin Tea Shoppe 初韻 新中式奶茶
Anyone who knows Denise would be in shock if a boba recommendation was not included! Her current favorite is Truewin in Newark, CA. It has great soufflé pancakes with flavored creams and has oats as a topping that Denise seeks out! She recommends the strawberry soufflé, and her go to drink is any of the tea lattes with oats.
Happy Birdie Badminton
Denise is a homebody, but Daniel is trying to get her a bit active. They have been playing occasionally since Denise moved back to the bay. Book by court or drop in for challenges around lunch time!
