We're getting married!

In early April of 2024, Courtney and George matched on Hinge. After exchanging a few messages, Courtney got lost in finals week and, unfortunately, ghosted poor George (it was an accident!). However, even as he left her DMs, he never left her mind. Later that month, the two got a second chance when Courtney happened to choose the pew right behind George at the Boston Byzantine Choir's spring concert. She recognized him right away, but was too shy to say anything. Instead, she waited until the end of the concert to "shoot her shot" by making brief eye contact, smiling, and walking away (that's enough, right?). Well, it was enough for George, who was brave enough to chase after her and introduce himself before she got away. They went out for coffee and the rest is history!

In June 2025, George had a physics conference near Courtney's home town in the San Francisco Bay Area, so of course Courtney had to tag along! She was so excited to show off her favorite spots in the city. When posing for a picture in front of the Palace of Fine Arts, George bent down to "tie his shoe," and then surprised her with a ring!
